Cool Big List of Bulk Whois/Availability Sites

Quote:
Where can I do a search for a bunch of domain names at one time?
I see this question come up a lot, so I thought I'd go through all of the registrars in the registrar reviews section and see which ones had bulk whois tools.

I tried to list any limitations I saw, such as max. names per search and whether or not an account is required.

If you know of any more, let me know and I'll post them.

Good list, Jorge, thanks!

You might add the benefit of using these sorts of sites as opposed to a software based option like Domain Name Analyzer, etc. ( No bans, faster searches, etc.).

I'm still using Moniker's Bulk Availability checker, it seems to be the most reliable. When I have really big lists, though, they go into DNA or DRT. If you are going to use a software based bulk lookup tool, however, make sure you limit the number of threads per search, or the speed of your search. A lot of whois servers will ban you if you search too quickly, which, as Allan mentioned above, is one of the benefits of using web-based ones.

Anyone found anymore bulk checkers?

they all have bulk registeration tools, but which one has the "bulk whois", meaning after you dump in the names, they return the whois information. (a lot of them you have to click again to get only one domain whois info).

I haven't found anything like that web-based. I am usually just interested in whether or not it is registered, however, so I haven't really been looking for a true bulk WHOIS. DNA or DRT would probably be a lot quicker with this anyway.

Correct.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=276687

However, just be vigilant because someone may be looking over your shoulder the domains you are checking.

If you find something thta you really like in web-based domains checker, register it asap.
