I am strongly debating it... I haven't been to any conferences yet, and would enjoy the opportunity to meet some domainkin (My tm on that coined term)

I would love an East-Coast one, but all the Tekkies seem to be West-Coasting it

Word at the last DomainFest was that the next one would be in New York or East Coast somewhere. I guess it's back to Southern Cal though.

The last one was great! I had lots of fun networking with and meeting other domainers. Sessions were good too. Definitely worth the trip!

Info coming next week. But last two DomainFests were free to attend and all meals were paid for by DomainSponsor. Here's September's schedule for an idea of what to expect.

Well let me see: If I dont have the $395 I could probably rent a spot or two at my place. It's $200 a night at the hotel. I could probably cover the cost of that having 4 people at my place. Sorta of like a B&B. lmao. And maybe make some extra change on the side.

I checked out the hotel and the cheapest room I could find is $299/night. Not sure if I want to drop that plus airfare...

Even at $395, this one is a bargain compared to attendance fees at the other domain conference. This is a three day event, and most (if not all) of your meals will be included. They really go all out to take care of attendees, so if you can make it, I'm sure you would enjoy it.

There will be special rates for conference attendees. They mentioned it would be around $200/night to stay at the venue hotel, but I'm sure there will be lower cost alternatives for lodging. Hopefully we'll hear more about these options soon. Maybe pairing up with a roommate would be a good option for some too.

I'm interested in joining, but I'd like to join perhaps to get a booth if possible. I'd like to showcase my software DNFinder, (DNFinder.net), since I live in the area. It's only a 20 minute drive for me =).

FYI, there are cheaper hotels in the area. I hear the Holiday Inn, is a decent place to stay for about $100 or 120 a night. It's on N. Highland Blvd., a walking distance from the Renaissance, where the fest will be.

I'm just 10 minutes away from there, so I'll be commuting each day.

I look forward to seeing you again, RJ. I also hope to meet some more of you at this next fest.

Sure, anyone can. Just go to www.domainfest.com and register. It costs $395 and you can pay with PayPal. I saw pricing for their booths and event sponsorship prices too somewhere.

I am registered to go already. Still have to buy plane tickets and book my room.

See you there!

List of things I would have to do to get there:

1) Shell out $1000 that I don't have for a flight cross-country
2) Shell out $200 per night that I don't have for lodging
3) Shell out $395 to attend. (Guess what? I don't have that either)
4) Convince my parents to let me go.

Now, bring one to NYC, maybe at the Javits Center, and make the admission fee $30 or less, and I may just attend

Just booked my flight. After taxes and fees it came to $108.90. Not bad, but I'm only flying from Northern California.

I checked expedia.com and flights from the East Coast range from $236-$350 (round trip, fees included). That's not bad either. This will be the most affordable "big" domain conference of the year for most people, so if you're considering to going to one this year give this one a look while the rates are still low.

DomainFest just extended their discounted $395 registration fee until January 20th. Still time to book for this conference and its a great value. Most people can register for the DomainFest and pay for their their flight/hotel for three nights for less than the registration fee at other domain conferences.

I also noticed Pinky Brand and John Berryhill will both be holding conference sessions.
