Transferring a name away from Enom

I'm transferring a domain from Enom to GoDaddy and initiated the transfer from GoDaddy. Its been 4 days and it is still "pending registrar approval" (Enom). I know that the transfer can take up to five days but this is ridiculous. Is there any way to do this quicker in the future?

winst is an unknown quantity at this point

Did you missed the GoDaddy e-mail?

I have transfered many domain names before. You probably missied a step or two.

1, you need to unlock your domain name at the current registrar (eNom)
2, you need to enter the authorization code at the new registrar (godaddy)

You should have received an e-mail from Godaddy about the domain transfer and follow the instructions in it.

You should also make sure the domain name contact information at your current registrar (eNom) are correct.

Depending on how soon you'd receive that email from Enom.. sometimes it never arrives

If it does, that's the way to expedite the transfer.

precisely! My most recent experience is a record-breaking 2 day transfer from eNom to Moniker, as smooth as silk

Well it is almost a week now and still awaiting the transfer and/or the email from Enom.

Everything was performed correctly as suggested. I guess it will happen eventually but that is no consulation to my impatience.

Knowing I'm not alone in my misery is actually nice to know.

Thanks for the replies.
