Good times...

Of course it's easy to imagine some GREAT uses for those names (Especially that YB.com; I can't imagine it not selling for a bajillion dollars t'morrow ;) ), which is why they haven't found end users yet, perhaps... (Blinded by the $ signs).

Neat idea to compile them, OP.

LOL. Thanks Allan!

It's easy to put high values on these names....actually selling them for those amounts is another story!

hmmm I could use one of them as an abbrivation for my company name. If you look at the 2letter domains only - no stats involved - what do you guys think the price is, ballpark figure ofcourse :) Do they really go into the 7-figure pricerange?

EZ.com
CU.com
PS.com

those 3 are definately my favs :)

D-: It must be nice to be able to turn down an offer like that :hehe:

All three are priced in the six figures.

The owner of ez.com (Don Strickland) told me he turned down a 600K offer.

ps.com website states "To be taken seriously your offer must be reasonable (i.e. at least 6 figures), and must of course make it clear which company you represent and give full contact details."

sg.com goes into the seven listed at $1,000,000 on Sedo

He turned down $600k? that's pretty insane, but I guess most two letter .com's are up in that pricerange by now :( Hence, EZ.com must be close up to the seven figures..would be nice to have!

Were you negotiating for "fun", or actually interested?

Lol it was probably for fun..

The prices of these 2-letter domains are only going to go higher.. maybe at an exponential rate given the sudden demand for .coms.

I think Dan was smart enough to know that if he waits another few years, they will go well into the 7digit range. Plus, he's probably really rich already.

Imagine if someone forgot to renew one of their 2-letter .coms and you picked it up!!! OMG!! That's better than winning the lottery lol.

While I wish I could afford $2M or even $1M or even $0.5M....not yet. I was certainly interested in the domain, but not for more than 5-figures.

:)

at.com is a great one... think of all the subdomains... cars.at.com loans.at.com, etc... If I had millions of dollars to invest in a new business, I'd probably do just that. "It's at.com"

Any ideas who that offer was from? My guess is that it was from Stelios of the Easy Group, http://www.Easy.com

I'd bet he wants that domain badly. In that case, Don did the right thing as Stelios is so rich, he can pay more than that. Don's smart to hold out for a bit more.

I got your PM Chappy so I do understand what your saying.
However, Chappy and other Namepros members, consider this:

If just 40 of us agreed to put up 50,000 each for At.com, then as soon as we purchased it, started selling subdomains right away like at http://www.CentralNic.com ? We could divide the profits. If we all contribute to the developement of the site, between the skills of the 40 of us, we'll have this site up soon. The potential for making back much more than our investment is very real. At just 50,000 our risks would be low and in the worst case scenario, we could always resell the domain to recoup our investment. The domain would be placed in Escrow at Escrow.com with each of the listed owners (the Escrow fees would be insignificant and we could split that up along with the registration fees).

I'm in if I can find 39 others. What do you guys think? If you feel this is forum is too public for this discussion but your interested in being one of the 40, PM. Please only PM if your seriously interested. I'll give updates when we've hit our 40 investors in AT.com (assuming that when we have the investors, the owner will still sell at that price).

at.com is a really nice name and maybe even a "bargain" at 2 million? i reckon it will eventually sell for that price and will continue to appreciate for the years ahead so if you want it, this is the ideal time to grab it before it gets into crazy price ranges :)

Good luck if you decide to go for it mate

Update:
2 of us potentially in so far. Keep the PM's coming. When we hit 20 investors, we will make our first offer. Only 18 spots left to make NamePros Domain Investment History. Instead of buying that new car this year, take that 50,000 and make an invetment that will keep paying you back instead of rusting out.
