It could have gone for more but i think people were put off when the winning bidder had zero feedback but i dont think he is a time waster considering he wants to use escrow.

Looks like you may have started a new trend too Kev - The same word is now reg'd in 10 extensions 6 of which are parked at sedo !!

Can you remember how many there was when we talk in PM ?
Was'nt it only about 2 ??
(my PM does'nt work at that moment for some reason so I can't check)

Let us all know how you get on with the transfer as there is a bit of confusion about the whole .eu process at the moment. Let's hope it is not a bumpy ride

Congratz Kev-Keep us posted on the progress of this sale. If you pull it off successfully it would lay to rest a lot of "misconceptions, misinformation" Hoping you have a smooth ride and come out a winner.

Seriously! Even the .biz wasnt registered a week ago. Thats pretty funny

I think it is a good idea to sell quickly when the hype is up, then i can maybe buy a few 3 letter domains in a few months when people realise they cant sell them for 1000 euros each. Thats the plan. But i really wanted kev.eu

In most of the cases i see .biz is not regged and .eu is. I would also reg .eu over .biz anytime.
Kev, imho its an awesome sale, congrats!

Congrats Kev! I hope the transfer goes smoothly, please let us know how it all goes. I think .eu will be worth much more than any .biz

Also...I think you received a good deal for a new extension but for myself I would have held off for a few years. I really do think it will be worth high x,xxx or even more in years to come seeing as advertising.eu had such high bids recently (xxx, xxx!)

yeah i did think about holding off. If it doesnt go through ill just keep it for a while but people appraised it at reg fee when i put it in Appraisal section, and this was why i sold

ha lol. I wonder if it is one of the first in the world!

I haven't seen any on sedo and advertising.eu never sold on ebay so this sale could affect the .eu market?

That would be a great asset for the buyer having the first .eu ever resold

Just got this from spacereg. It is possible

Hello,

If you just let us know that your domain should be transferred to its own
account we can do so for free. For security reasons we will contact the
current admin contact, be email, to authenticate the transfer request.
We will not charge for this.
Transferring to another registrar will incur the transfer costs of the
new registrar. Transferring to us costs 15 USD, however
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=189882
with .eu domains you do not get an extra years worth of registration
with the transfer costs (those are the eurid rules!).
Changing the registered owner (Company field in the contact form)
also incurs a cost of 15 USD and again you get no extra years worth of
registration.
However, if you just put the domain name into its own account then
someone else will have access to the domain name.

I hope that answers your questions.

regards,
Patrick

It looks like it costs $15 to transfer PLUS you have to pay to re-register? Is that right?

And if you check out the project I'm working on, you'll see the Ebay auctions that have closed so far for .eu's since the beginning:
