It wasn't an auction or anything it was at domainsite.com for some reason after I came from where I was I checked the domain and it showing as it was taken then after refreshing the page the domain was available. I had to do it a few times then I was able to order the domain.

The domain was stricklysex net

Typo of strictlysex.net/.com I assume?

That has happened to me a few times. I have even just gone to the restroom and when I got back it was taken.

If you typed it into an availability search, like on GoDaddy.com, and didn't register it, then someone else may have registered it. I beleive that they share the lists of domains people type in.

There is another thread on the forum about this.

From what i understand they don't share lists but what lists you do you see on the bottom of the page are results from domain bot that generates different variations for the keywords you entered.

At least that is my understanding.

I've done that a few times... type in a domain name and think it is available just to realize I mistyped the domain. You get your hopes up for nothing...
