strange SEDO sale, jobs.eu (not possible!)

Anyone else catch this? Look at the SEDO recent sales:

http://www.sedo.us (bottom right)

jobs.eu

Doh! EU isn't even available yet. Not for months.
Did someone really buy a fake queue registration?

Reduces my faith in SEDO a little, at least the screening process.

Did anyone catch the description for that listing?
Unfortunately I cannot find an archive of it...

Someone has probably listed it but not stated that it is only a preorder they have with a speculator. There are a number of .eu speculators going around where you can preorder the domain you want - problem is - you can preorder the same domain with them all.

I wouldn't touch them yet as the registrar hasn't even been appointed yet.

Exapmles:-

http://www.namescout.com/eu/index.asp
www.eurodns.com

check the Ts&Cs on namescout for more info!

One cannot preregister .eu domains. Some companies claim they can, but they cannot. All they can is promise you they will try to reg it for you. It's kinda like pool. Nobody can preregister .eu domains.
I still believe they meant jobs.eu.com.

They cannot give you any more guaranty than anybody else. If they claim they can, it's a lie. The only thing they can do is sit ready when .eu starts and hope to be the first to register your domain. You can do that yourself too.

Quote:
.eu Domainnames will be available from November 2004. In March preparation and translation of regulations will begin, followed in June by accreditation of .eu registrars. From September 2004 those holding prior rights to a name (trademarks) can register during a 'sunrise period'. General registration is planned for November on a first come first served basis for any name not taken during the sunrise period or otherwise blocked from registration.

Organisations and individuals most likely to be able to register a .eu domain are companies with their registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the EU. Natural persons resident within the European Union can also register.
