Unless it is very generic... not worth it. It only comes once a year

As in any name, I'm sure it depends upon the name. Find a good one and I'm sure it's more than worth it.

Nothing stands out about it in my mind. I don't see why anyone would type that in.

I agree. If all your looking for is Christmas PPC, then it's better to go with generic keyword names.
I have a couple of winter clothing domains that get traffic this time of year.
InsulatedJackets*com is one of them.
The name you mentioned would have to have branding and marketing to make you any money IMO.

I would not buy a xmas domain... as it does not provide a steady source of income

I have to agree with the general feeling of this thread, unless you have a specific plan for the domain then it is unlikely to provide much of a return on your investment in time and money.

It really is going to be a pretty limited market, there are some ares I think a domain could work in this area ( to be honest not the one you mention ).

However that is just my opinion

All the best

Richard

Dr. Seuss Enterprises owns several trademarks on 'Grinch', I wouldn't dare. Besides, it's not that great of a domain to begin with. Try to stay more generic. ChristmasGifts, ChristmasDecor, etc

christmas domains are seasonal so if you buy it now, you better sell it before christmas or you would have to wait another one year. Secondly, there are so many other religions that dont celebrate christmas. Thirdly, if you plan on getting a christmas domain, i wouldnt recommend grinchdirect.com because the grinch is an evil entity. Im guessing you're planning to make a christmas store, it sounds like a store where people may get ripped off. Like for example, santadirect.com sounds better than grinchdirect.com. good luck with your domain hunt.
