![]() | what's the meaning of sedo's listing price? any meaning? I find a name listed for sale at sedo with listing price $10,000. I placed the offer and waiting. After two days, the owner give me an counter offer of $150,000. This is 15 times the listed price, what's the meaning of listing a price like that?Totally a waste of time. Anyone here has the similar experience?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi, I was under the impression that if you offer him £10,000 he would HAVE TO SELL - I do know that £10,000 is a much as sedo lets you put it up for sale at UNLESS you pay sedo for a evaluation. If you offer under what the name is listed for then they can come back with a counter offer - I would contact sedo to clarify but I am sure others here will know the exact legalality of it. If the seller DOES NOT PUT a asking price on it they can counter with whaterever they want. Did you offer to buy it for 10,000 ??? Off sedo's website ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/135664-whats-meaning-sedos-listing-price-any.html If you make an offer or counter-offer, it is binding for seven (7) days from the time you make the offer. During this time, you cannot cancel the negotiations or change your offering price. Sellers are similarly bound to commit to their offers for the same time period. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Even if the seller puts an asking price, they can still accept/reject. Yours is the first "offer", theirs is an advertisement. Until they accept/reject your offer, there is no agreement, and they can do whatever they want. You, however, are bound to your offer (per terms of Sedo) for 7 days or until they reject your offer (And technically you accept that rejection, or the offer is still open... not important in this case). The reason they priced it at $10,000 is to avoid having to pay Sedo to appraise the domain. -Allan

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fixed offer If the seller is asking $10,000, and he has it marked as a 'fixed offer", he is obligated to sell it to you, only if you offer him $10,000. Any other offer you make him less than that, he can ignore, if he wishes. Why he would counteroffer with$150,000, who knows... greed?? Ha!! Personally, if I had a domain listed for $10,000, and someone offered anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000, I would probably accept it. What in my brain would make me think to counteroffer with $150,000??? HUH??? Geez... talk about a deal killer!! There is one other reason possible. That is he realizes his domain is well worth more than $10,000. I am sure I read somewhere that on Sedo you can't list a domain for more than $10,000.... unless... of course... here comes the catcher...... it is appraised by Sedo!!!! Ha! So, this may be the reason he has it listed for only $10,000, but really wants $150,000. See below for some of Sedo's guidelines: http://www.sedo.com/faq/index.php?ac...8063f782d42a19 ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=135664 Frank

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=135664 Seems a bit silly to list it for £10.000 - better to write offers in the region of low $xxx, xxx in the description if that what you really want. IMO | ||||
