Question Google AdSense to optimize parked domains?

Hi,

Since there is such a confusing debate about what parking program is better (sedo, domainsponsor, afternic...) it seems some domainers have thought of developing their own parking program for the names that receive a decent amount of traffic.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried something like that. My idea is to set up a little (one page) site with some content explaining the meaning of the domain name and then add advertisements such as Google AdSense ones, and other links to resources related to the name that might pay per click. Of course, there would be a "This domain is for sale" ad.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/125986-google-adsense-to-optimize-parked-domains.html

My doubt is if this way of parking domains would generate more revenue than the traditional parking programs and also if Google AdSense program would accept to be placed in a "for sale" domain as long as it has some content.

What do you think?

You mean in Google AdSense?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=125986

Well, it is still not bad. One AdSense banner (which includes several adds) and several "hand-made" links/ads to pay-per-click advertisers.

Any experience?

Reasons that I can think of straight away as to why people do not do this (although not a reason why they shoudn't)

1. Hosting needed
2. Web development skills needed
3. Google refuses many sites unless content is good
4. I own too many names to tailor each site to its own page - none of my names really want that much attention based on the traffic they receive.

Yeah, I have been thinking the same lately - check out phonefree(dot)com - they have just paid just over $ 60,000 for the domain recently in snapnames.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=125986

I have just got - freephoneplus(dot)com in a drop recently and am thinking of doing a similar thing in the future with each brand of phone, it appears to look like a mini site and is basically a massive collection of paid links under different subjects.

I have also seen some that list just about everything you can think of under one domain, loans, holidays, mortgages, poker etc - etc, with each page just being a collection of paid links, similar to what sedo do.

With some of these paying very high click rates it looks like you could potentially make good money from one domain.

Definetly worth looking in too more i would say

The other great thing is you would be able to optimize your pages unlike sedo
which would increase your chances for sure.

I thought of that before. But I think what stopped me was that it may be against Google's TOS.

I've had my head buried in FW, PS and DW for past week setting up some 1 to 4 page sites- some w/ content that I plan on submitting to Google AdSense. Like, cjcjcj, I have far too many domains registered to build customized sites for all of them. so have created lists for Phase I, Phase II, etc. I have prioritized the domains within these "work groups" using this criteria: 1) Names that receive the highest # of uniques but have low CPCs. 2) Domains that, conceptually, are the least difficult to create sites and gather content for, 3) Keyword popularity and/or w/ the highest AdSense payouts and 4) "Hero names"- top name/s within a theme group that I will point the other domains to from within the respective group. <-(I figure that this can help cover alot of portfolio territory and, (hopefully), will put some of the visited, but non-productive domains to work- the theory being that, by working in consort, the total is greater than the sum of it's parts.)

Although DW has presented somewhat of a learning curve, for the sake of organization and mngt, I am creating "Dreamweaver sites". (I've used DW for HTML editing before, but am new to using the site, FTP and app integration features) For the single page/no immediate content sites, my major goal is to create a style- set the look. In some cases, I am creating my own graphics, in others, I am putting up edited, (ie removed buttons/links added temporary txt/content), index.html pages from the templates that I will later use, when I flesh in the sites.

I work better when I have multiple projects going on simultaneously that I can shift through, (or bounce between, hehe), depending upon the mode, (mood?), that I am in, (ie DW local/remote/FTP client set-up, graphics layout/design, SEO/meta tags, data/content gathering and writing, etc. and when I get there, setting up my pointers, submitting to AdSense, and potential affiliates.) In "Phase I" I have 22 sites that I am working on and will be uploading my first sites today. Will keep you posted on how AdSense works out under this scenario. Time to get back to the sweat, err..., I mean "photo"shop.

NO I have'nt seen that before but the following is off their website

- What is the minimum amount of traffic I need to sign up for a AdSense for domains account?

Your network of sites should generate 750,000 page views per month to be eligible for the AdSense for domains service.

Not much chance for me I think !!
