How Does Domain Dropping/Deleting Work

Hi all.

Im very newish to domains but i was wondering how the whole Dropping and Deleting process works. Ive got some software that can search 1000+ Domains and lets you know when there about to expire and when they were regged, which gives me a better chance of knowing how long its been regged and if its likley to be regged again.

Now whilst doing this search i can accross a few that have expired but they say IN PROSESS, what does this mean. If a domain expires on 22-5-2005 when would i be eligable to reg that domain? ( Or at least try ).

Does this method work, as i could understand some people are to busy to remember there domain expires and they loose it.

What is the software that "can search 1000+ Domains and lets you know when there about to expire and when they were regged?"

You can find a clear explanation of the timetable of domain drops on the Sedo website, as well as (I'm sure) here on NamePros.

Good luck!
