I just snagged GoogleStatistics.com today

what kind of worth do you guys think this may be?

depends on how you use the site-

Think how Nintendo is trademarked, but there's several Nintendo fan sites out there.

Does the same not work for Google fan sites?

Should be alright if I add the following at the footer:

™ and © for all products, characters, and indicia related thereto which are contained herein are owned by the companies who market or license those products. This Web site is not endorsed, sponsored, nor otherwise affiliated with Google. It has been created for the sole purpose of entertainment and knowledge. Reproduction in whole or in part in any form without consent from Google is prohibited.

Hi Steve, you best just stay away from names that have TMs, just because there are others doesnt mean that its ok, it just means Google hasnt got around to them yet??

For the sake of $10, its not worth the trouble IMO

Just my opinion though

Hi Steve,
I personally don't see any value in this domain and should you spend the time remodelling it into a web developers dream, then Google will surely be acquiring it from you to the value of a legal letter.
