OK, I have read enough posts to know you cannot trust any automated appraisals. On the other hand, as a comparative resource I still look at some of them.

VeniceHotelDeals.com gets a $16,000 appraisal from EstiBot.

2,900 exact searches for [venice hotel deals] on big G.
The search numbers get huge (20M) if you check a broad search.

CheapHotelDatabase.com gets a $20.00

I'm guessing the "database" portion is what devalues it with the bot, since the search volume is over 30M for "cheap hotel".

I would love some human opinions on the value of these domains. Heck, I'm open to opinions from aliens and monsters, too!

This is just a general opinion on the names themselves, but at first glance I could see some potential with VeniceHotelDeals.com if your good at selective tourist marketing or sale to someone who is.

CheapHotelDatabase.com on the other hand, I think your right about the 'Database' part wrecking the value in the name, I think you picked a easy to remember name which is good even if it is long but I personally find that the name in its entirety just does not make me want to visit as a web surfer.

Of course that is just my opinion on the names, hopefully someone more in the 'know' can help you out :-)

VeniceHotelDeals.com is aight, but its too specific and too long.. You or an end user would have a hard time entering the tourism industry with this domain.. Although it sounds nice i'd have to say $5 over reg fee.
