Do you what is their general formula based on?
So basicly nameboy sucks?

Other than NP, (and nameboy) Are there other free appraisal websites.
NP has so many requests everyday, I hate to bug people then not get a reply because of low value.

estibot.com is another free appraisal site. A free account gives you more data.

Auto-mated appraisals are not very good as far as valuation goes. Here is an example with 3 of my domains. NAMEBOY $5438, $7342, $1977 The same 3 same order DOMAINTOPS. $86, $2274, $27, The same 3 again same order ESTIBOT. $460, $920, $350. As you can see pricing is all over the place so for information estibot is considered a good tool, but dont take too much notice of the price. Hope this helps.

I would rather use dnscoop.com a popular site for appraisals and watching backlinks, pagerank, traffic, and more. I use it instead of nameboy because its faster and not automated.

Thanks for the leads.
I am so new to this, as I filtered thru my hundreds of available ideas- I put the best ones in nameboy with some coming back like you said with a nice $(7k on up to 11k).
Then I paid for appraisals from GD (because they charge for everything)
and they scored them less than 1k ea.
The ones I have submitted in this forum I am being told are only worth reg fees.
So I wasn't sure what I should list them at to see if they would sell.
I do like the thought of something is worth what some one is willing to pay.
Thanks again, you guys rock.

I find nameboy gives closer to an enduser appraisal than estibot which is the ultimate value of a name, unless it is only going to be used it for a traffic name never to be developed.

So once again being very new and loving NP and all the rockin' peeps here.
Are most domainers making $ reselling or parking. I have 17 I am planning parking and selling. I'm not even close to yet considering bulk reg, resell or flipping.
And what about mini page developing. Is that common? I'm not expecting to get rich (although it would be nice) from my portfolio but would like to make a little $.
Thanks again

Quick flips aren't bad. I bought a domain awhile back for $4 and sold it for $30. Not much but easy profit.

Nameboy just sent me my free appraisal for my domain POSBOX.com and it came back with $32,000. Can a "user" estimate on the value? Anyone.... Anyone....

Thanx, Chris.

it's not that accurate nothing is, it's to be aided by human opinions and values if you have to use tools then use estibot or wordze.

In retail merchandising a POSBOX = Point Of Sale Box
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/494775-how-accuarate-is-nameboy.html

Example POS BOX

I think Nameboy is close to its value.

POS Boxes are big. Look at them in retail stores of all kinds. Supermarkets, Hardware stores, Walmart etc.

You have a winner. Sell it to a box mfg. company.

OK... Can I get a few pointers on where to start with putting this domain up for sale? Is it worth advertising on SEDO or Here, or other Domain trading sites? Or I am happy to pay a good commission to someone who wants to broker it for me.

Any help is muchly appreciated.

Chris.
