Between $300 and $400 would be a deal.
Between $400 and $600 is the probable reseller value.
Over $600 is possible to a motivated reseller or enduser.

If you did pay someone for this domain you are getting nothing in return, sorry

You got a steal alright, money stolen from your pocket by a scammer by the
sounds of it

Then again you might get the domain, the scammer could be using a stolen credit card to bid and by the name, then the scammer will outbid everyone as they got the name for free and then sell it discounted at $170 pure profit.
