![]() | DN Appraisers at this Forum Hello, My Respected Regards to all Members, Being quite a new one to domain names secondary market, I want to be a globally known 'EXPERT' domain name appraiser, like majority of those I see here at this forum. Being ignorant, (I'm sorry to the forum Admn., if I'm posting a wrong inquiry but,) I would like to know about the 'CRITERIA' and certain other information used by all the 'VALUED EXPERT APPRAISERS' here at this forum. I would like to know that..... a) How many domains have ever been registered by any appriser; b) How many domains (of such registrants) have ever been appraised by recognized appraisers, like GreatDomains.com; c) What factors or elements are used by any valued appraisers at this forum to evaluate any domain? d) What's the 'Experience' of domain name appraisers at this forum in domain name appraising market? and e) Is it simply 'Personal Perception' or some 'Solid Footing' involved in all these valuations? ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/12697-dn-appraisers-at-this-forum.html AND..... Shouldn't all the appraisers here at this valued forum be required to declare their 'Appraisal Model' or ' 'Programme' to share their 'ULTIMATE' knowledge with ignorants like me ??? Please don't take me wrong... I'm asking all this honestly for my education, knowledge and experience to be like one of you. Please don't hold it with you, spread and share your knowledge. Best Regards. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | No such thing as an expert. We just base our apprasials on our end user contacts. So basically our apprasals are based on what we can seel the names for. Some may have an end user for some domains and none for others. If you are looking for expert apprasals such as an expert as yourself I suggest that you leave this forum because this is not the place for that. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It may be a bit much to "require" all these of our volunteer appraisers. a) How many domains have ever been registered by any appriser; -> This is private info, and none of anyone's business. b) How many domains (of such registrants) have ever been appraised by recognized appraisers, like GreatDomains.com; -> You'll find that many members here are skeptical of appraisal services, as they tend to grossly overestimate domain valuations. c) What factors or elements are used by any valued appraisers at this forum to evaluate any domain? -> Personal experience, mostly. Plus what we would be willing to pay if we were inclined to buy the domain. And also what we observe happening in other people's sales. d) What's the 'Experience' of domain name appraisers at this forum in domain name appraising market? and ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=12697 -> You'll find our experience in this "market" is oftentimes limited to scammers who try to get us to buy their worthless domain appraisal services. e) Is it simply 'Personal Perception' or some 'Solid Footing' involved in all these valuations? -> There is no "solid footing" in domain valuations. In the end, even with a GreatDomains certificate claiming that the domain is worth $10,000, if buyers are willing to pay only $25 for your domain, then $25 is exactly how much its worth.

![]() ![]() | Yes there really is no classes or books to read on this subject.. You cant really take a class, however I guess one could be invented. But it still would be difficult to understand. You really have to get out there and do it yourself. You just learn thru trial and error, watching others, monitoring domains which are currently being sold elsewhere that are similar to yours. And watching domains in general to see what people try to sell for and what they can really get. I should write a book about the topic in general - not many books about domain and website appraisals. hmm... hay dont steal my ideas. Have a good day. |

![]() ![]() | You cant be a expert ;D Not in end user domains, but for appraising traffic domains you can. Speculate what domains that can bring great traffic, and if it would be quality traffic, and how much the income maybe could be. |
