[REQ-LOGO] $45 for Local NonProfit Radio Station

Type of Contest : Logo Design for Web and Signs Business cards, etc.

Prize : $45.00

Contest End Date & Time : 2/8/2012 at 1500 CST (GMT-6). I reserve the right to end contest early, as well as extend or cancel the contest if a suitable logo does not arise.

Size Requirements : Vector or large JPG(Preferably 36"x36"Minimum)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/745416-req-logo-45-local-nonprofit-radio.html

Color Requirements : Prefer a Blue, Possibly Silver, Grey, etc.

General Requirements : Would like a logo that will look good on a business card, up to an 8 foot banner.

Additional Information : "KPRD 88.9FM" "Praise Radio for Midwest Kansas" I'm a big fan of simple and clean.

Please let me know if you have any questions. It's a local nonprofit I've worked with for a while, so the budget is tight(I'll be donating it), but hopefully we can come up with a few options for them.

Thanks guys!

Alex

Hey Wolfman,

I just wanted to post something to get things going. Let me know how you feel about the colors and thickness so that I can make adjustments.

Also, are you looking for some sort of symbol to be included, or only text?

Thank you.

Jed K, thanks for starting it off! I like the simplicity. I like the silver/grey and the font on the slogan.

Would you try maybe a richer/royal blue?
Not sure if I'd like it or not, but on the top line would italics look good?

As far as symbols, they don't really have a particular symbol, but it is radio, so maybe like radios, sound waves, transmitting signals, etc? So long as it's not cheesy.

And for anyone else, like I said, I like it simple, but also somewhat elegant if possible. Thanks for the entries!

Hey, thank you for the quick reply!

Here are four revised logos with more of a royal blue, radio waves, etc.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks.

Jed K,

Really big fan of the bottom left image. I think it will look great on a business card.

Would you be gracious enough to play with the placement of the transmitting lines? I like where it's at for a business card, but maybe not a website header? I got a comment from the manager of the place that they might like some extra info in a version of it as well, could you use your artistic magic to fit this in? -"91.1 Phillipsburg - 103.5 Lewis - 107.3 Hill City - 96.1 Pratt - 88.3 BellAire/Smith Center".

Thanks so much, appreciate all your time!

Alright, let's try some more options!

The first two are possible site headers. The radio waves can always be removed as well if you prefer.

The second two include the extra information you mentioned. One option has them extra small for aesthetic purposes, the other puts them onto two lines for extra visibility.

Can make more adjustments if needed.

Jed K thanks for this latest batch, I like them all actually. Could you try one more version with the three curved lines aiming to the right with the additional information?

Gooddesigner, I like yours as well, almost futuristic, but it's kind of hard to read the call letters. Did you have any other ideas for that shape?

Thanks all!

Will I really like how integrated that is. The only feedback is on the small versions, can we get the additional information just a little bigger?

---------- Post added at 01:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:00 PM ----------

Jed K thanks so much for keeping up with my ideas! I really appreciate it. I really like the third one down(its exactly what I was hoping for!), but the bottom one is intriguing for a letterhead also.

Changed fonts/sizes a little to make things clearer, hopefully this is more what you had in mind? Feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!

Good designer, thanks for the update. I like the second one but I'm not sure about the blue ball in the P. Also on the info at the bottom, can we move that 96 down to the next line?

---------- Post added at 01:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:31 PM ----------

Will, I like the new font, 2 notes on this latest batch, the slogan on top, can it be just a hair bigger, or maybe bold? Also the info at the bottom, can it be centered like you originally had it? I liked that a lot!

God, thanks for this one.

So everyone knows I'm going to take them the final versions of each to vote on Tuesday.

Thanks for all the submissions, its all great work!

Will7 do you have any ideas on possibly incorporating "Hays" near the 88.9? I just realized that there are locations with the numbers below, but not the main frequency. Any ideas? Same question all around, not neccesarry, but curious .

Will7 I'm not quite sure how I feel about that one. I like it, it just doesn't feel right like the last one did. It may be that the text on the bottom was better before it expanded past the kprd. It might also just be how small 88.9 got. Could you maybe place hays under 88.9 and make the hays a little smaller. Its not really the highlight, just a nice addition for congruity.

Jed K, very pro... I really like that. Thanks again for your work!

---------- Post added at 04:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:10 PM ----------

Will, I also just got a second opinion on the text at the bottom, it may be fine to stretch after all.

Hey Guys, Going to be presenting it at a staff meeting for these guys tomorrow. Thanks for the entries! JedK on the 88.9, is there anyway you could change the "." to match the 889 color? I'm hoping to actually change the contest up a little, and get two logos, one for web, and one for letterhead, but we'll see where that goes tomorrow!

Thanks again for all your hard work!
