Type of contest: Logo design for a website that a friend and me will be working on.

Contest end date: 6th February

Prize: $40.00 by paypal.

Size requirements: Vector based. Ideally not too tall as will be used in the header of the site. Apart from that we'd like to leave things upto the participants.

Colors: We like the idea of sky blue/light green for the site but are flexible. Site can always be changed.

MORE INFO: Any questions please feel free to ask. I'll try to provide feedback to everyone ASAP. Sorry about the relatively small prize, but we're on a tight budget.

The website is "HowToGetAPayRise.co.uk". The logo must feature the words "How To Get A Pay Rise" but the .co.uk is not required.

If you use any money/notes in the logo please keep in mind that the website will be aimed at UK residents and we do not use dollar bills etc.

The website will be providing information and tips on how to get more money at work during these tough times.

Jed K, I like the simplicity of your design but it seems to be lacking something. Perhaps try something more colorful and with some reference to money in there somewhere?

Smith4842, I like again the simplicity but feel it is also lacking in something. I'd prefer more emphasis on "Pay Rise" and less on "how to get a". Also try some colors if you want to resubmit?

Namada, I like yours the most so far but I don't feel it fits together that well. I also don't like the £ symbol you have used it look skinny With the colors you are absolutely spot on though.

Hi guys, thanks for the revised entries.

JedK I still feel that your design is a little too plain and is lacking something. Ideally we are looking for something that will be easy to recognise.

Namanda so far we like your entries the best. However I have a couple of points if you don't mind? My friend likes the top logo in your second post the most, and I like the middle one. My friend has asked if you can try wrapping the arrow around the £ sign differently at all? I would also like to see a revision of the middle logo with the circular emblem bigger and the text set out as below.

ajaydz, although the concept is nice we do not feel that it matches what we're looking for and our target market.

JedK, we still feel that yours is too plain unfortunately and not really memorable enough but we do appreciate you entering revisions and you're more than welcome to.

Namanda, we still think that your designs are the best so far. We have one last revision to ask of you if possible. Could you please thicken up the "How To Get A" text slightly on your 2nd design (the one with the orb with the £ sign inside), and also can we see a version with the border around it like your first submission but with the latest text.

GoodDesigner, I like your design but we would ask that the green used is lightened if possible. I also don't like the way the arrow covers part of the £ sign.

Other than that the contest is still open and we would like to thank you all so far for the good work and taking on our feedback.

Don't forget that you're welcome to use your own ideas and colors.

Scorpionagency we really liked your fresh approach and the concept as a whole. I only have 2 things to ask really. 1. You have used the american phrase of "raise" and not "rise" 2. Is there any chance you could change it slightly so that the speech bubble is not a speech bubble? We love the little man running up to success and the arrow though. Maybe turn the speech bubble into a border around the entire text, or just close it around the man and the "stairs" somehow. Other than that it is great.

JedK - thanks for the revisions but I still feel that the logo's are lacking something. However we do appreciate your effort and revisions so thank you very much indeed.

VirginArt- I also feel that your logo is missing something and is not quite what I'm looking for. I can't really offer much feedback other than we are looking for something memorable that incorporates some sort of little emblem that can be used on it's own without the text and be recognised.


So far the contest is between Namanda and Scorpionagency. However we will let the contest run it's course so there is still the weekend to enter.

First of all I would like to thank everybody for their great effort. As always some great designs have been put forward.

After consulting with the other person involved in this project, we have come to a decision. We would like to name Scorpionagency the winner for his fresh approach and for offering something different to the other concepts.
