General Requirements:
Looking to design a logo for my company, which is called Apexis Solutions. It is a start-up government contracting company that does IT solutions, Professional Services, engineering etc. The logo will be used for the website (under construction), business cards, letterhead etc. I chose the name Apexis with the notion of helping my clients reach their Apex. And since my main client is the government, military flight/space imagery is great, but I am open to all ideas. Feel free to ask questions, if you'd like.

Additional Information: This site was used by a colleague of mine, and he had tremendous results, so I look forward to the contest. My website will be built around the logo, so sorry I don’t have that for you to see. I will be giving feedback as best I can. Thanks in advance to you all!

Thanks for both submissions. This is a great start. I like both approaches.
MastMnd- I like the cleanness of the font. While I like the buildings peaking in the middle and implying an Apex, I think Namanda is a little closer to what I was thinking. And thanks for the idea of doing a tag line with it. I need to work on that too.

Namanda- I really like the second one. Cool font and think the sweeping/soaring "A" is also beginning to close in on what I was thinking with reflecting the "Apex" part of the name. I also like the idea of having a secondary "A" to work with. Nice colors too.

These are the kind of ideas I was hoping to see.

Hello All, thanks for all the postings. They are all really good.
Huy Hai- I like the symbol and the concept. Any way we can make it contrast a little more? And maybe make the A a bit more dominant?

VA- I really like the symbol. I think you are getting my kind of sweeping and soaring effect I'm looking for. Can I see one without the symbol breaking up? And some looks at how it might look on white?

Blair- I like the 3D effect of the symbol. Is there any way we can make it a bit more A-ish? And I know that I keep saying talking about the Apex effect I'm looking for, but the company name is Apexis... my fault. :-)

Namanda- Can we play with a few different colors? And maybe a slightly more traditional font? I really like the symbol. Do you think we can maybe center the A a bit more to make it clearer?

Thanks VA, I think this is where I want to go. When I came up with the name Apexis, I was thinking more Aeronautical, as one of my targets is NASA. So, let's put our aerospace hats on. I think that is why Namanda's Star Trekian symbol is very attractive to me... brings out my inner geek.

So, while I think we have some potential winners above, can we try some edgy aeronautical alternatives?

Thanks again all for your submissions.
Right now we really like the non-winged submissions by VA (Posts 9 and 16/17). And thanks VA, for the last submission on white/grey. I was going to ask to see that.
I think the blue/silver/grey color scheme is working as well. Conceptually, this is right where we want to be.

Blairwitch, that was a great second submission. Definitely addressed our thoughts. Can we go a little less heavy feeling with the button? And maybe a font with a little less shine in the middle. Looks good.

Namanda, can we see your logo in the blue/siver/grey configuration? And maybe the "A" a little thicker?

Gooddesigner- I think I oversold the flying concept a bit much. Maybe a little less wing, see the comments above. Nice colors, though.

Zawedx- Nice design, but I think I like the sleekness and clean lines of some of the others. The 3D logo is nice, but perhaps a little heavy as well.
