         | $75 Logo by Saturday Looking for a logo for a new business. The name of the company is DARWINS and it will be based in the UK. it will be selling wooden nice quality doors, although I do not necessarily require this 'referenced' directly in the logo, although it should be considered when looking at the style - contemporary is fine but an uber-modern "tech" style for example, is not what I am looking for. I am looking for an authoratative, "classic" or professional feel more than a comical style ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/641609-75-logo-by-saturday.html $75 to the winner, picked by Saturday GMT midday. There must be at least 4 entries for the contest to be valid, so please post here asap if you are intending to enter. EDIT- there are already 4 entries (or intending to, so this is live and there will be a winner!) The logo must be vector based, not too complicated or with too many colours as it will be used in printed media as well as on a site. All copy of the work is to be passed to me and the creator to surrender all rights to the work. (sorry!) Questions will be answered asap. Get creative! Unique designs only please- unique/rare fonts preferred and no mass-circulated clip art, stock photos etc!

| Thanks for the efforts! fried chicken I like yours, can you confirm please the designs are unique and not just widely available clip-art? Josephine, thanks for your effort, it is excellent but I am looking for something a little more formal in style and the icon is not quite right for this project. Obviously please submit others if you can as I can see you are talented! |

Friedchicken, sorry to say this but some of the shapes( the 2 on the bottom left and the 1 on the right) you're using are photoshop's basic free shapes. it is unfair for the contest holder to pay for something that is actually free inside photoshop don't you think? |

| NOdont think its unfair. are you for real? photoshop is a tool, i use to create designs, customers pay for the final overall design not that particular element of a design. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=641609 they are my designs and are unique. does that mean for every contest you create a custom FONT say, because it already in photoshop free? why you even commenting about stuff like that if you have problem ( with copy right or whatever), pm the mod or the contest holder and they will pm me to get to the bottom of things. instead of in the thread. ginger man if you have any problems with the use of the shapes use in the designs just pm me. if your dont want a photoshop shape incorprated into your design dont worry, just discount the entries. oh and by the way the one right isnt from photshop. cheers baz |

Stock images, brushes, clip art and similar are not as preferable as a bespoke creation, but the designs by fried chicken are very much like the end result I am looking for and I am aware that great designs can be achieved with simple tools which 99% of the world would not recognise for their composite parts. I use photoshop and saw a vague familiarity in some of the shapes but could not place it, hence my original question. Please do not take offense and josephine I appreciate you clarifying here. Thanks all for your efforts, I look forward to seeing the other entries (and maybe more besides).. baz, my favourites are second up from bottom on the right and the bottom left, if you fancy tweaking at all they are certainly going to be contenders.

| Great standard of work all around. Jospephine I like the third one down of yours the most, although there is still something slightly informal about the design which I cannot pinpoint exactly how, it could just be my own interpretation. Definitely going to be a tough decision tomorrow! Still time for new entries to be submitted, hopefully people aren't too put off as the competition is fierce with so many excellent entries! |

Rep will be left to all. It has been a very tought decision and I am truly amazed at how well everyone managed to fit my criteria, there really were no entries that I think are not excellent.
