Save a Life Animal Rescue Protect Our Planet Breast Cancer AIDS/HIV

$5.00 and $10.00 for 2 small pix.

2 quick designs needed.

This is for a site I am installing and I need something pretty quick.
The site is named Demolition.tv
It is all about Demolition Derby Stock Car Racing.

I have 2 items needed...

1) The site title that will go in the upper left hand corner - 185x48 make sure it's file name is logo.png
(just some cool letters, probably white, very legible saying the site name - DEMOLITION.tv)
$5.00 for this little pic.

2) A cool logo/picture/title again, etc...to cover up that camera on the existing template.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/633020-5-00-10-00-2-small.html
325x92 make sure it's file name is headerbg.png - $10.00 for this logo/pic.
I am not really sure of what I am looking for here, something colorful, maybe an actual picture of a bad ass crash, whatever I am looking for,
I just want people to know immediately the site is about Demolition Derby and not Demolition as in Building Demolition.

If there are any pix loaded on the site, feel free to use them.

The contest will end on Jan 15, 2010 at 11:59 pm Chicago time or earlier if I see something I really like.

Here is the existing header...

I created this to replace the upper left text "phpmotion" but I dont really want to use it because the background solid blue looks terrible against the grainy blue on the site.
I guess something similar without a colored background would be great.

and then a new picture to replace that camera...???
I have lots of cool pix but I just dont know how to shrink them to the exact size needed
and how to re-name them to work on the site.
So, any entries would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few options... on the other image you needed, I'd be happy to submit a graphic for that spot- you mentioned that you have some that you like- if you send me a link, I'll edit it to work...

Using PHPmotion... you can even use images in the header that aren't the identical size, as long as they're not too much larger... just adjust main_1.htm to make them work.

Hey sbcjr,
I really like all 3!
I think I like the 2nd, and 3rd ones most.
The one thing that I am not sure I like is the glow around the letters though.
It almost makes the letters kinda bleed into each other.
and your fonts are pretty cool, They all seem pretty easily readable.
The 3rd one reminds me of the letters kindof breaking down, as they would be if they were getting demolished. Pretty cool.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=633020

Your comment regarding the size...
I find that very interesting.
Are you sure about that?
If so, then one main picture/logo could be in order, and if so...
Do you know what would be the max size of a header/logo?

Thank You!

Haha, looks like I'm answering this on two forums.

Yes, editing main_1.htm and main.css, you could make it work with a single background image, and PHPmotion allows complete flexibility if you know a little html and css. There's no limit on the size.

Good eye- I agree that the glow reduces legibility.

So, then since this sounds rather simple to change the size that kindof changes the contest a bit.
I would ideally like just one long header type of design but am still not sure what the size would be???
Do you have an approximate "max" size that would be able to be installed with very minimal code changes?

Just looking at your template's source code, I'd say something like 128x1000 would be the simplest to add.

No Problem, I appreciate you getting back to me.
128x1000 - Yikes, that isn't very tall at all....hmmm
I guess one long logo w/a picture prob on the right hand side of the title would be best then...

It wouldn't be too much trouble to increase the height if you're remotely familiar with CSS, though.

I wish I was remotely familiar w/CSS but I am not so I would end up having to pay someone to do it.

Lets just keep the contest the same way it was - 2 pix I guess would be easiest.

Hey there dpdomain,
Thanks a lot for your entries.
I like the photo edited of the cars.

I just threw a couple more pretty good crash pix up on the site.

and I appreciate all of your work with the title pix but I am afraid when I look at that font...
I am thinking of 2 words that don't go along with the Destruction, Crash, Demolition, etc.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=633020
Those 2 words for that font are "cute" and "bubbly".
I DO like the fact that it is very incredibly easily readable, and I do likre your idea of a different color to represent the ".tv", and for some reason I do think I am liking the non capitalized letters of ".tv"

Those are just my random thoughts, Thanks a lot.

Oh, and sbcjr,
I would love to see what your 2 logo's look like w/out the glow (2nd and 3rd)

Check out the couple new pix if you get a chance.

Thanx.

Hey there Electric-Shadow,

I am not sure what I am going to need to change to make this contest right.
I did read your rules and I honestly thought I covered all of the required info.
I just re-read the Rules for this section, and I still cant find what I am doing wrong here,
unless it is not ok to run 2 contests within the same thread?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=633020
I just figured since I needed 2 small pix for the same site header,
it would probably be ok to have both within the same contest?

Here is the info you request in your Rules...

----------------------------------------------------------------

All elements MUST be covered (ESPECIALLY the end date/time).

Type of Contest : Title & Logo
Prize : $5.00 & $10.00
Contest End Date & Time : "Jan 15, 2010 at 11:59 pm Chicago time or earlier if I see something I really like".
Size Requirements : Title - 185x48 make sure it's file name is logo.png
Logo - 325x92 make sure it's file name is headerbg.png
Color Requirements : I was pretty open on the color
General Requirements : Legibile Font, and Cool Demolition Derby type pix...
Additional Information : I added a few specifics in my Posts.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I am very close to a winner in both categories.
I really like dpdomain's title picture, I just would like to see it all on the same line...
and possibly the ".tv" Non-capitalized
and I really like sbcjr's Logo, I would just like to see if he could brighten it up a bit,
to show the acual colors of the cars a bit better.

So, I was thinking of asking both of them if they could tweak their entries and if so,
was going to announce them as winners as soon as I received a reply from both of them.

If there is something else I need to do, please let me know.
I do not want to do things incorrectly here because I find this a great tool/resource
and dont want to abuse it.

So, excuse my ignorance but I guess I need to know what is needed from me to make this right.

Thanks.

dpdomain,
The font I was referring to was one of the entries in your Post # 18.
It was Logo 5.
I really like that font!
I ask 2 things of you though.
1) In the existing picture can you edit 3 of the letters? The e seems to have the bottom part of the curly part of the e running into the mid-section so it looks more like an "o" with a middle line in it. And both of the "i"'s seem to have the dot of each i running into the long vertical part of the i, so it almost seems as if those 2-i's are l's...lol
2) and then if possible can you create 1 more pic w/the .tv on the same line as the word Demolition?

I would like to see which one I like better.

sbcjr,

That picture is awesome!
You win the header logo!
(I will pm you)

I appreciate all of the entries to my contest.
If dpdomain can edit the title then he will have won that part of the contest.
