Wanted [REQ-LOGO] For DP Doors $60 prize.

Hi i am in need of a logo for my new business venture away from design.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/593684-req-logo-dp-doors-60-prize.html

I have opened a company called DP Doors, specilising in fitting upvc doors, rangin from front doors, french doors, to patio, stable and bi-folding doors.

I need a professional logo to go with the proffesional service we offer.

I am not fussed at the moment with colour scheme, but as i start to get entries i will let you know which colour schemes i am liking most.

vector is more likley to win as its going to be on the side of my van and a sign above the showroom, also looking into billboard advertising.

I will pay $60 via paypal for the winning design, please try to keep the logo related to doors in some way specifficly upvc doors, but a nice individual logo would also be nice.

other requirments would be that i would like to have a logo i can use apart from the text.
please use the words dp doors.
Please provide a colour version and grayscale/black and white of the logo.

Contest ends 13th of july or sooner if i see a logo i fall in love with lol.

Regards,
Paul

DP logo

Does "DP" stand for anything that we could integrate into the logo?

thanks for the quick revision jman, im still not convinced by the layout, or the font, keep working at it, would it also be too much trouble to ask to leave your previous work up as my partner will want to see them also.

regards,
Paul

contest can only be 10 days, not a whole month.... plenty of talent here on NP and, for such a prize amount, shouldn't be a problem finding a winner within the established time limit:

Quote:
All Contests Must Have An End Date
All contest held within the DC Forums MUST have an end date. This CAN NOT be longer than 10 days. It is VERY unlikely, if it is a thought out contest, that you will not find a good design here in NP over that period of time. To maximize the response, we would suggest you post the contest with a longer, rather than shorter, time frame. This gives the designers ample time to put together quality entries.

I designed this door after checking some photos of actual upvc doors. Of course this is a simplified and more logo-like door as it is supposed to be. All texts have some custom alterations. The d and p are actually the same shape. The stencil effect has been added to make the symmetry more dramatical between d and p.

J-Man looking much better, but again needs more colour sorry.

mindseye love your second entry, thanks also for putting it on the side of a van, it looke very profesional, and my favourite so far. im talking about post #22

Erdinc your second entry is much better, more precise and professional.

Hi Paul,
When you say you like my second entry, which one do you exactly mean? In my first message there are 10 variations of the same design. In my second message I took one of the variations (second row left one) and demonstrated it on a van. I have actually only one design in this contest so far.

Do you mean you like the horizontal text alignment on the first van? Or do you mean you like the tagline on the second van? Which of the 10 is better in my first message? Are you looking for a more technical feel. Are you happy with the two colours (dark red and navy) that I'm using? Should I change them to a more technical/engineered feel? Are you happy with the "dp"? Are you happy with the font for "doors".
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=593684

More detailed feedback please.
Cheers
Erdinç
