![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Any chance you could elaborate on what the logo is for? A bit of background on what GRID or Rebel Armory is/will be would be helpful in creating an appropriate logo. Thanks.

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=589559 So this, like most of my logos, is for a work-in-progress. Let's work under the assumption that this is a logo for a tactical clothing company; what that means is that it would be the logo for a company that makes BDU's (Battle Dress Uniform's), tactical vests, slings, and other militaryesque performance wear. Does that help? Please, anything that you would need to know just ask! Best, -Allan

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Allan, It would be great if you could comment on existing entries so that not only those designers themselves but other designers like myself would also see what you like and don't like. I have been thinking to enter for a while but it is very discouraging without any feedback to existing entries. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | steadler, I see that you are very experienced in logo designing. In some other places, for instance at 99 designs, I have seen some other professional designers following similar criteria and sportsmanship as you do. On the other hand using animals was mentioned by the OP and the grid is the subject itself. So it is only natural that some designers will use animals and grids together. I don't have a problem with this. But I hope font, colours and the effect that I applied to grids is not copied. So in fact if somebody is designing without looking to another entry the similiarities will be limited. So I would say go ahead with your lion design. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=589559 Let's hope Allan likes the rhinoceros since I designed some more versions of it. ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just some initial comments as requested! Great work by all, as usual! ![]() umxca - Love the font and the concepts, but need the logo to be more than just the word, I believe. The cross-hairs definitely fit the concept, but are not "unique" enough for me to be able to "run with" on its own. The "feel" of the logos are right-on, however. J-MAN - You have a lot of good stuff! Going in order: 1) The shield is neat, but looks like a virus defender software package logo rather than the look I'm going for... apologies that the original description wasn't sufficient. 2) B/C #3 is good, I'll just have to say something about this one just doesn't feel "right" to me... the green and the "G" being random, maybe? 3) Awesome. The right feel, the right colors, etc. The only thing might be that I'm not sure about using "RA" as an acronym, but that could be a little tweaking that I can do - no need for you to. Definitely the right feel/flavor for a logo. Electric Shadow - You have the right idea, and the work-product is excellent! I don't typically consider a giraffe to be a "fierce" animal, however ;-) Also, the colors are more "friendly" than "tactic(al)(ool)". Only other note is I'd probably want the logo to be able to be severed from the text, and as-is that would be difficult. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=589559 steadler - that's a sweet looking logo with the blocks - I wish that I could have the patience to learn to design because that is definitely something I wish I could do. It is very "computer company" looking, so it won't fit this current project, but I do have one in mind I'll kick around for a little bit that I'll definitely ask you to submit for. Jim - You're always great at taking the concept/industry and picking an appropriately themed logo - the dog tags are great! Might be a little too specific (tactical gear not just for the military - even if a lot of it is), which is why I'm thinking of a "fierce animal" (perhaps - not necessarily, but it is what is in my head as a generic enough logo for all applications.) as the standalone portion of the logo. Nitro - Very similar to umxca's comments above, but with the addition that the "abstract" crosshairs (I believe that is what you were going for?) are really cool, but a little too generic looking (Could be a logo for anything). The colors are good. Ookie - As far as the broader "feel" and features of the logo, this is definitely moving in the right direction. The logo portion fits with the text, but can also stand on its own, and that's great. I am not quite sure what type of animal that is, however (Mythical? Jaguar/Panther?), and it is a little amorphous to immediately instill a sense of "awe," for lack of a better word. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=589559 marcello - That is awesome. I love the incorporation of the rhino (unique!) with a "GRID" so as to match the theme and the name... I need a day to think about it because it wasn't what I had expected, but it certainly fits everything I asked for (I know that seems paradoxical, but that's my "block" - what I see in my mind I have a hard time describing or creating, so I rely on the creativity here!). Great work, great design, and a really cool juxtaposition of themes. Just initial comments, folks - I'll hold off picking a winner until everyone who has said they will be entering has a chance to do so, but please don't drag your feet :-) Amazing work thus far, all.
