[REQ-LOGO] $50 logo contest - Looking for talent ($5+$45Bonus)

Hello everyone.-

I am looking for a logo design for a brand we are building. The name of the brand is “Sabor y Ritmos”. Sabor y Ritmos is an aerobic class to be thought in gyms, so the logo should represent that, a gymnastic class of different rhythms (Salsa, Merengue, African, etc). This is a new brand, so I have nothing to start with, so I am really hoping to get some of your inspirations for this logo.
There is not an established size, shape or colours, but I have to say that I would like to keep it limited to 4 or 5 colours max.
Just as a reference, I saw this logo online which I liked:

I have to say, I don’t like the colours, but I like the middle stripe with the bubbles effect.
It will be strongly suggested to use aerobics shaped people forms on the logo, like the one I referred to, but is not required. I would really like to see talent in this logo and I am sure, based on what I have seen on this forum, that I will see some very nice logos. Feedback will be given to every single logo.

The contest will go until Nov 26th 2008, and a prize of $50 dollars will be paid via Paypal to the winner. The designer will have to email me the logo probably on .psd and some others formats like .jpeg, etc. I will specify that later, but after having the .psd should not be a problem. Payment will be sent first and then the designer should email me the logo within 1 day.

With recent NamePros policy changes, we are required to pick a winner. While we are 99% sure we'll find the right logo here, we're offering the prize as $5 in case we don't. That way, if we don't find anything we like (very doubtful), we pick a winner and pay the $5 and that's our maximum loss. However, we promise that if you are picked as the winner AND we decide to use your logo (which we most likely will), we will pay an additional $45 totaling $50.

I understand your concern of posting to a new member, but if the suggestion by the moderator makes you feel safer, please feel free to do so, and in fact, to protect myself from misunderstandings, I will strongly support the moderator advice. I can only say I am a very honest person, and I will comply with what I wrote on my contest description. I don't know if this will make you guys feel better or not, I hope it does.

I am anxious to see some of your talented work as no logos have been posted yet, but based on what I have seen on other threads, I am in fact wondering what you guys can deliver, I am very hopeful. One thing I can assure, and is that you will receive feedback for every single post and it will be within 24 hours.

Hi Fiona.-

Firstable, thank you for your post. I think is very nice. You did a very nice job on the logo. I love the background. I also like the letters but I might ask you to change them later on, I am not sure about the colors yet. The black human shapes fits very nice, but because our class is a fitness class and not with companion, you should be using a single human black shape and not a couple. I would like to see something young on the human shape. One example, only for the human shape, you can see it here:

I have to say, I am very impressed with your work, I like it. Just try changing the human shape for something similar to the ones on the link.

You are the only so far to post a logo, so it is very hard to say where you are on my top 5 list as I don't have enough choices yet, but I am sure you will make it to the top 5. I am very glad you post your logo.

Yes, the one call "Sabor y Ritmos", I wrote you a feedback on your logo, but then I noticed it was not posted. I had a link on my feedback to refer you to a different type of human shape, so I think the forum is setup to stop all the posts with links until the moderator checks them and then allow the post. Lets wait until tomorrow, if my feedback is not posted by tomorrow, I will do it again.

I might also change the ballet girl on the logo and add another human shape, but again, just leave it like this for now. I will show all the logos to my associates tomorrow, to start building our top list, but in my personal opinion, you did a great job, I would not change much.

Note: You had a typo on Ritmos. You wrote Ritmus with "u" and not with "o".

After the meeting with my associates and going thru the 2 logos posted, we believe we like some of the things posted but will need some changes. I made a logo, very bad logo though, but just to show something we thought about that we think it might help you know where we would like to go. Attached is the logo.

$tealth.- They like your part where you have the letters, so we would like to see your logo, without the guys on the top, the circles and the plants but leave the rest the way it is and then, try to follow the structure of the logo attached, which means we all like your fonts and the background where the fonts are, I hope I am being clear, and honestly I like personally the all thing, but my associates opinions have certain weight in all this.
