NamePros welcomes eLogoContest.com as a the new sponsor of the Design Contest and Graphic Design Discussion boards.
Being that our own Design Contest area is closed at the current time, eLogoContest could be a suitable alternative for those looking to hold logo design contests and designers wishing to participate in them.
The owner is NamePros member HeyGeek and he welcomes feedback and questions about this new venture here in this thread.
Hi erkim,
Thanks for the compliment, the $19 is just the "contest listing fee" the contest holder is also required to put up a prize for the winning designer, with a minimum of $100.
EDIT: There is now no minimum prize amount!
What images are coming up choppy? If you mean the images of the logo submissions those can be enlarged by clicking on them.
We have used GetaFreelancer.com escrow as a payment method on some of our sites before, would that work for either of you? The way it works is that we pay your GAF account instead of via paypal (you must have a GAF account) and then you can transfer it out of GAF via whatever methods they offer. We could implement that if anyone was interested.
i made a pretty noice logo for that jasper gemstone contest.*
*before signing up, not realizing that registering requires allllll kinds of personal info.
back to 99d. for me.
nice site though, good luck with it heygeek

The difference between eLogoContest and any other design contest sites is that we actually process all prize payments, which is great as it means that the contest holder can prepay the prize, but also means that we have to explain to the US Government where all the money that we pay out has gone, thus the need to have information on the person we paid it to. The page where you enter the info IS encrypted and we make all efforts to keep your info secure.
Thanks for the compliment, and as I explained above, the SSN and other info is required for tax purposes, we need to cover our butts when it comes tax time, I know people are leery about giving out their private info, and especially their SSN, but it is collected via a secure server and stored safely.
I just finished running a contest at eLogoContest.com and just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with the results. Most design companies give you 5-10 sample logos from 2-3 designers but with eLogoContest I ended up with over 400 designs from more designers than I could count!
The experience was incredible to say the least -- I found myself having difficulty choosing between the many great designs I received. The talent of the designers beats anything I've yet tried. I spent $499 to get 10 design samples at another logo company... I ran a $1000 logo contest on eLogoContest.com and ended up with 461 design submissions -- talk about value for your money!
George is a great admin -- very responsive and very proactive about making sure everything on eLogoContest.com is 100% original. I had the completed artwork the very day my logo contest ended -- couldn't be happier with the design or service.
All around, I have to give eLogoContest and George an A+ and I'll definitely be using them in the future should I need additional logo design!
Thanks for the kind words Reece, you ran a great contest!
And by the way, if anyone wants to listen to the radio interview about eLogoContest that I just did with Anita Campbell of Small Business Trends you can check it out at http://www.smbtrendwire.com/2008/08...ur-logo-design/ (and I actually mention Reece's contest in it!)
