General Requirements :
Please use photoshop for this design.
This banner will be used in a website ( www.Su-Kyi.com ) for my newborn baby girl.

The purpose of the site is for her online photo album, short movies, blog and some news.

Her name is Su-Kyi

The zip file consists of her 3D Ultrasound and new born pictures.
IF your design needs the pics, please feel free to use it. You can use different cut-out for the pictures for different effects.

The zip file also has a gif file containing her name in chinese character. You can also use that too.

The website will have a dark gray or even black theme ( not decided yet ), so your design banner must play nice with it.

I want the design to be original, creative and with a "wow" effect.
I'm pretty much open to any design idea. The inclusion of her English and chinese name will be nice ( on a different transparent layers ), but not necessary.

Again its all depend on your overall design theme. This is a free style design contest.

Please use different layers for texts and pictures. So I can make simple alteration later on.

All font files used must be included as well.

I may/may not include a second price winner of $50 depending on the quality of this contest. This is totally optional and I will post the results on the end day of the contest.

I will be checking this post at least 3 times daily.

Good choice of pics...I have 2 comments...

First, the color of the font doesn't really match the background. Could you change the font color to a different one.

Secondly, the design consists of only pics, there is no other elements in it, a little too plain. But a clean design. See if you can spice it up a little.

I'm a little dissapointed with the low response to this banner design. I have held design contest here a couple of times and was very please with the result. Let hope this one will be a success as well.

Not that I 'm not here to help you guys out, but I really don't know what to tell you. I want each designer to come up with something different. If I tell you what I want, then everybody's design will be similiar.

What I meant about design elements are baby related stuffs like milk bottle, toys and such....

The design kinda has a sad theme to it. Maybe adding a few more pics will lighten it up ?
Also, I don't like the bar at the 4 corners.
Can you move the pic a little bit to the left so the ladybug toy can be seen more.
Lastly, the color of the font is too light against your background..

First, the black and white teddy bear does not go well with your color scheme? perhaps a black and white teddy bear with some color in it ?

Second, I need some changes to your blocks. The top character should be in the lower right. And the lower right should be on top.

Thanks for entering the contest.
The pic on the right does not go well with the background and overall theme. Also
there are too much "noise" in the background ( those black curly lines and the color shading).

Lastly, I would like to see both the name ( english and chinese ) reduce in font size. To me its too big and drawing more attention.

Unfortunately, your 2 revisions isn't much better. The 3 part element ( left, middle and right ) does not ( in my opinion ) flow well at all.

The pink gradient is not to my liking as well. Its a bit too strong.

If you have time, please re-design the whole banner.

Very nice concept...I have 3 comments.
First the teddy bear is not very good looking. Can you replace that bear with a more cute looking one.

Second, can you put her chinese character name next to the bear on its left. Not too big of a font.

Lastly, the pics with ladybug on the left is nice ( the bigger one ) but it is duplicated again in the center. Please replace the center one with another pic.

Other that the above 3 comments, it looks very nice.
