1) QuantitativeFinanceForum is an advertising banner and should not be present at the logo..
2) The main theme colors should be RED and BLUE
3) Somewhere should the flag of the United States
4) Instead of "All you need to know about taxes" the words should be "United States Tax Law" if the wording does not fit in the design the wording can be omitted.. wording is not a must
5) The logo should match current theme
Well, besides being almost exactly like your preview, here's what I have. I am putting this up just to see if i'm even in the right area of what you're looking for. I did it in about 10 minutes so just let me know if the "idea" is right nor not, not the content. thanks.

Nice design. Sorry I did not have time to find out the exact size of the it before you started to do design
the height should be 140, width 1142
Also can maybe you replace the hands with the money with a White House or image of the form 1040 (individual income tax form) or 1020 (corporate income tax form) You can do google search on images of both of the forms. May be you can put a combination of both.
Or another idea to fit in an American Eagle there in the right side?
