[REQ-LOGO] Need an image of a vector based "Burning Pool" -use your creativity ;) $25

Type of Contest : Logo (Sorta)
Prize : $25
Contest End Date & Time : Until filled - I'll call it officially closed on Monday April 16th at 11:59PM Eastern Standard, but I need this ASAP, so if the first post satisfies what I'm looking for, I'll close it then. So make sure you post if you're going to enter so I don't unnecessarily close someone out.
Size Requirements : Vector, if possible. Make it big and I'll shrink'er down.
Color Requirements : Color. That's all.
General Requirements : I'm going for a cool looking image of a "burning pool" - not a sci-fi or sadastic one, more something somewhat creative that looks professional, yet simple... I know I'm always horrible at describing what I want, so here are some examples of logos that I like along the same vein (NOTE: DO NOT JUST COPY THEM/RIP THEM OFF.)

Perhaps? My mental image is more of a "pool of fire", that is simple in design and swirly - but I can't put two and two together when it comes to design work.

Changes/things that are different from my "mind's eye" -
No text needed unless it builds directly into the logo somehow.
The logo looks too much like two different items... a fire and a pool... I'm shooting for an abstract of sorts... I know I'm not being clear, that's why I can't do this myself. I hope that the comments help elucidate what it is I'm shooting for, and again, the work is very good!

Hey folks, let's see...

borzoid: I like it, but it still looks like 2 images and looks a little late-80's or early-90's in style to me - might be the colors chosen.

arc #2: That's being creative! It is a little too abstract, and the rainbow swirl doesn't seem to fit. In short - I don't see it and think "burning pool"... And more importantly, if I'm thinking "burning pool" and I see that, I don't put the two together. It's creative, and I like that you started playing with my limited feedback and you made good progress.

Zenius: Similar to borzoid - see my note at the end of this post, but yours is closest to what I'm shooting for, I think.

Josephine: Looks too much like burning blue excrement

I say that in good humor, knowing full well that is what I described as what I wanted! So, see my note below...

I guess I'm looking for something more slick / avante garde / one unified image.

I know I'm being difficult - so let's try this - as designers, what questions do you have?

I think, feedback that has been provided already helps. True, some thoughts can't be expressed through words. Feedback that generated from drafts only can help. I myself have no Idea what to ask?!...hope Designer's creative mind can understand!

Here is another idea; a bit more iconic. The first one has the flame floating above while the second has the flame in the pool. Please let me know if you like either of these.

Of course the font can be changed to any you like.

Well, 12 hours left and I like the last 3 a lot!

I'll probably end up choosing from one of those last 3, and token prizes for the other two.

Comments:

1) Zenius - Your second one - I love how it all "blends together"; looks like one image that somehow morphs between the two (Kind of M.C. Escher-esque). It's really close, but I'm just not sure it says "burning pool" when I look at it.

2) arc - that's impressive work, again. It's bold, it is sleek, but it looks like a video game logo (Quake 3D?) too much (Either that or Satan has come back to earth in the form of a puddle

3) borzoid - It is more "icon-esque", but it does a good job of being a "burning pool", I suppose. It's a little bit like we've gone back to where we started, but it is good, clean, work and I'm not opposed to rethinking my earlier statements (I am a designer's worst nightmare ;-) ).
