This Domain Village is a site about domains? Are you selling domains or ... would you provide more information about the site. May help to get some ideas of what to design. Thanks.

VillaDominio is to be the landing page for a complete domain market place.
Sub projects being domain market, domain auctions, domain registry, domain appraisals, domain forum and more. All exclusively for the spanish speaking domain market.
Is this enough information?

Strange!!!
For the first time I decided to open a logo content.
Why?
I have been following some very nice and very professional jobs here.
I thought: Who could be better for designing a logo dedicated to the domain business, than this group of designers here, that are actually in the domain business and deal with domainers every day?
The subject should be very suitable for you all.
Let me know what I can do, to "wake up" your creativity for this project.
Thanks for reading!!!

Ok, not bad for a first attempt, but I get the point.
Here a few thoughts:
Mind you, they are only thoughts or ideas, not requirements.
The language is spanish, so it is understandable that you have problems associating your ideas to the name. Imagine the name would be "Domain Village" or "Domain City"
A village consists of houses, streets, malls, roundabouts, traffic signs and a lot more. How about using one ormore of these elements?
What could they stand for?
TLDs, subprojects, computers, servers, custommers or anything else you can imagine.
"Villa" and "dominio" are beeing written together, but are two words.
Example: Using capital letters the "V" of "villa" fits beautifully above the "M" of dominio.
The two "I" next to them could build one line.
Again:
These are only thoughts or ideas, not requirements.
I'm just trying to "open" your eyes to the creative possibilities this name offers.
The whole thing should be simple, not full of complicated elements.
The main element(s) should be higly recognizable.
Come on!
You all are the experts, with much more imagination for symbolic meanings than what I have.
Go ahead!!!

Well it wasn't the spanish version of the name. Village is easy. It's the word 'domain' - where nothing comes to mind that relates to domain names. I am trying to think of something else that represents it so I can combine it with the "village" ideas I have. Will see about posting later. I've got to get some rest.

lol
there have been a number of domain-related contests here before (soon enough), so maybe the designers need a little time to "recharge" their batteries when it comes to this topic but i'm sure some really nice entries will be in soon!
I've never done a domain logo before. And sure wasn't aware of any domain related contests here. It could have been several months or years before I joined. I can understand why you thought it would be a perfect place to get a domain related logo design due to their slogan but as a designer I didn't come here because of any domains. I came here for the contests. Well I'll look in their history of contests and see what domain related contests llona is referring to. It may help inspire some ideas. But if not, well the entry I did may be the first and last. What could help instead is for you to throw out some symbols that you'd like to represent "domain" just as you gave some symbols to represent the word "village". That would help.
Thanks and to all designers all the best.

I was asking more about objects not terms. What objects do you want to symbolize the word "domain"? Like for the internet objects associated with that is a globe, mouse, computer etc. A dot was my among my thoughts which I've already done above. I guess I'll just expand on that. Maybe while expanding on that something else will come to me. If there are any specific objects you'd like to see in your logo to represent the word "domain" by all means please post it. I'll be posting some drafts in black and white later. If you like any of them then I'll work on the color.

I like yours most up to now, but I'm missing a good concept for the projects. The text line under the logo wouldbe OK for a slogan, but not for distinguishing the unique services offered.
Idea: (just thinking loud)
Move the top elements to the left and use the room on the right for the services.
Distinguish the different services with an element or a position.
But perhaps you find a better idea.

I would take your design immediately, but not for this business. I find it too "colorfull", not "serios" enough and not memorable enough. I would expect a logo of the kind i.e.for a toys shop. Feel free to try again.
Remember, I am looking for something simple, but well distiguished and recognizable.
Saves Th3 Day
Beautifull simplicity, very memorable and very unique at the same time.
Still, I see no connection to the name or to the trade and no possibility for the "exchangeable" part.
@all
Don't forget this "exchangeable" part. This is a very important part of the requirements. Please include your ideas for this feature.
(not the individual design for each project, since this is not part of the constest)
Thanks for the great efforts.

Well thank you for your feedback. The colors can be changed if you didn't like the use of yellow and red. I've got another idea or two. So will see about posting again. Thanks again.

Below are two concepts from me, feedback is much appreciated. I still don't understand if you need something like icons that look like part of the logo for your so called sub-projects and how you are going to use the names of the sub projects together with this element or icon, what is the purpose?
