![]() ![]() | NP$ Stock Market contest II NP$ Stock Market contest With the huge success of the first NP$ Stock Market contest, I introduce to you the second competition for week ending 11/01. The rules are the same, but are listed below for anyone who didn't enter last week. Here's how it works: Each entry will cost 75 NP$ Limit one choice per contestant Maximum 10 contestants Each contestant will choose a NASDAQ or NYSE listed company (no mutual funds, hedge funds, etc.), prior to market opening on Oct. 26. At the end of the week, Nov. 1, the contestant that chose the stock with the highest percentage gain, wins 85% of the pot. I am an avid stock trader and have the programs needed to keep track of the contest. Each day of the contest, I'll update the standings so that everyone has an idea of how well their "investments" are doing. When sending the 75np$, make sure to note your selection for the contest with either the full name of the company or the stock symbol. Thanks and good luck to all! ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/contests-forum/9237-np-stock-market-contest-ii.html Current Contestants 1. Gcgirl4ever - Intel (INTC) 2. CoolHost.com - AT&T Corp. (T) 3. RJ - Register.com (RCOM) 4. Subliminal - Advanced PCS (ADVP) 5. Hilljd00 - Infospace (INSP) *pending payment* 6. Elefekt - Verisign (VRSN) 7. I'd like to perhaps suggest a brief "Review of things learned" and commentary by each participant at the conclusion of any one week, or mutually agreed to period of time. Why did they perform so poorly/well this past week/month/quarter? What caused one stock to go up, while four others went down? Any particular items in the economic (or political) landscape have an adverse or (un)expected positive influence in any one segment of the market? Stock splits/triple witching/earnings/FOMC/PE's/"January effect" ... why do stocks behave so seemingly crazy in the most efficient market driven system ever known. I digress. See you a.m.

"die, damn you, die!"), although its not a lot of fun for those with jobs in the affected companies. But from the investor's point of view, these are just numbers ...????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=9237
