The tez.id.au quiz pits your skills against other players in realtime.

The aim is to work out the answer to the current puzzle. The answer to each puzzle is always a 5 digit number. It can be deducted from the cryptic clue using general knowledge, trivia, web searching, maths, deduction, logic skills and just general cleverness.

Points are allocated to each puzzle based on its difficulty rating – easy, medium, hard, very hard or colossal. There are also sometimes bonus multipliers which give you double, triple or quadruple points. You can also earn yourself extra points by suggesting clever puzzle ideas.

As a member who is logged in, any points you earn are automatically added to your account which improves your ranking on the leaderboard. Being a member also gives you access to hints which are revealed if a puzzle has everyone stumped for too long.
