![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Google.co.in is a forced redirection. They never advertise you to use .co.in. I guess, over 50% of the people who uses google.co.in, still types google.com in the address bar. -Pratik

![]() | I am trying to ellaborate more on country specific tld related to country specific search. If a user from specific country (lets say India) opens google, the following url is loaded by default google.co.in so, my question states will a .in and .co.in or any .in tld help make a better site compared to .com in future ?? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi San, If it is purely region specific sure, I know many people who only buy from a .co.uk if they live in england. A becuase it saves on custom charges / import tax and time scale. IF you buy from a .co.uk like in india if i was to buy a from a .co.in website i would receive it next day normally. Yet if i purchased from a .com which could be anywhere the chances are i would receive the charges etc mentioned so i wouldnt make that much of a saving. Saying that though i try and register .com for value reasons. Even though the .in and .co.in due to popularity and the ever increasing IT/ Business growth in India i can forsee these maturing into an extremely good extension that is taken serious.
