There is an auction pending at Sedo.com for Benelux names which mainly seem to be high reserve .be & .nl.

I was not aware there was much of a market to support such an auction as we don't see too many sales in the Benelux extensions.

Will you be participating?

What do you think?

Wot, it's not the first time a Benelux auction is hosted at Sedo

.nl is very strong, .be is popular too.
These are small markets but the good domains sell with no problems.
I have sold quite a few but under 2K so they typically do not meet the reporting threshold.

As I recall .nl has the highest level of domains per capita of any extension. They are not cheap.

meubels.be (means "furniture") sold recently for low four figures on Sedo I think.

Ya the last benelux auction that I took notice of was in early 2010 I beleive.

Sedo puts out a quarterly report which includes as part of the report the top 10 selling extensions (via Sedo) by percentage (some reports split into gTLD's and ccTLD's). Either way whether they split or not .nl is always in the top 10. Belgium's .be is on the fringe dropping in and out of the top 10 depending on the report. I don't think I've seen the 3rd Benelux extension in the top 10 (.lu - Luxembourg)

Of note .me never factors into the top 10 and we have seen many .me auctions. Since the introduction of .co to the market it has generally fell in line with .nl when it comes to sedo (perhaps the .co specific auctions factor into that though).
