![]() | Ranking a site with a ccTLD domain globally How hard is it to rank a site with a country extension (.de, .it, ...) in other countries? How much tougher SEO for say insurance.si to rank in USA would be? How to convince Google you don't really care about Sloenian vmarket although you have a .si domain? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Great question for a newcomer, welcome to NamePros. I think an associated or commonly used ccTLD would be easier to rank for a specific market. For example .us or .ca for USA, .IN or .AT for Germany, etc. But people have had reasonable success with great content even ranking .in for the USA - outside.in is one such example.

![]() | Thanks ![]() So what would be the way to do it? I can't set geotargeting in Webmaster tools because it's a ccTLD. Of course english content will be the way to go, also change hosting to a US based server and backlinks from global markets. Anything else worth mentioning? Btw, the domain name is affiliate.si |
