WHen i preapplied here in my local area, they initially asked for documentation (all staffs are confused , or not even aware of .in domains (lol) and they removed all documentations now.).

Any individual can preapply for a .in domain now. (until Jan 21st it was for trademark holders). Its also cheap.

I heard that All MNC's have been trying to reserve high profile keywords

I had to pay $39, but I screwed up my transaction, you need to add in funds first to your reseller account

Exactly, if Directi gets the domain you pre regged, an auction will take place among all the customers that have made a pre reg on that name.

Just like pool or snapnames

Key words wont go cheap, especially if some big players are bidding

They said that if you don’t get the domain, they refund the money

I pasted this from their site,

http://manage.directi.com/anacreon/s...abilityServlet

(if link doest work , go to directi site and check .in availability)

"Can multiple people apply for the same name during the pre-application stage?

Yes. We will accept multiple applications during the pre-application stage. All domain names which have multiple applications and get registered will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the other parties will be refunded their monies. The auction rules will be announced by the 2nd week of February"

"We have the maximum chance of ensuring that no other speculator or cyber-squatter gets the domain name you want"

LOL..... no other speculator ?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=66062

I don’t thing they trying to blindside anybody , in fact , have an auction for the regged domain have a lot of sense .

After all, they are in business to make money
