Anyway, I found that Video.bz, Home.bz , Blackjack.bz ,and Movie.bz were available to register, so I regged them.
What is weird is that Home.bz, sold for $1,500 at Sedo.comon 10/29/07, according to www.Namebio.com . Black-jack.bz (the hyphen version) just sold for $3,120 ( why didn't they just register Blackjack.bz?), also at Sedo on 07/23/08, also per Namebio.
There are others that were in Sam's post, that are available to register:
Gas.bz
Property.bz
Oil.bz
Health.bz
Gold.bz
Bonds.bz
Television.bz
Sport.bz
University.bz
Art.bz
USA.bz
Tax.bz
Feel free to register these, as I am only regging the 4 I regged. I still don't have 100% faith in the .bz
Also, 3 other .bz's that have been sold before, per Namebio, are also available to register. These are:
Invest.bz sold 12/12/07 Sedo $160
Ski.bz sold 04/21/07 Sedo $170
eFile.bz sold on Afternic $25
Feel free to register these also.
Anyway, so what gives with .bz? Are people buying them, and then just letting them expire? NO buyers? Were these salesfor real?
Also, I sold News.bz, back in 2005, for $200. I probably could have gotten more, but I was afraid to ask for more, because it was a .bz,and I figured I would scare the buyer away!
Even thought most people consider this a lousy extension (and it probably is!), I thought I would start a thread for poor old .bz! It seems as if many good keywords are now available. I was able to register these in the past 2 days:
Please post any names you have regged, sold, or anything else concerning .bz!
Again, I realize most people consider this a lousy extension, but let's give old .bz a chance!
Feel free to say how lousy this extension is also, if you don't like .bz!
Looks like it may be a temporary registry connection problem. Looks like most, if not all, of those domains have been registered for quite some time.
Only moniker shows them as available... and it is not consistent.
I'm sure you'll get a refund after the weekend once moniker or belizenic corrects the problem.
but, then again, they may be available. good luck. ymmv.

You rat! When did you get it? When I looked it wasn't available.

Darn, I was kinda dreading it was something like that. Oh well, we will see. I can honestly say I wasn't planning on getting rich anyway. Has this ever happened before, a registry connection problem?
I thought someone had regged these years ago, but since they were .bz's they could never sell them, and finally let them expire.
The only weird thing is that not all domains show as available.I have submitted a support ticket to Moniker, let's see what they find out.
I checked the whois on all of the above names this morning, they all have blank information, except for Blog.bz, which apparanetly does belong to someone else. Weird.
Frank
No,but it has only been a day, or two. I figured with a .bz, it would take a day or two. Crap!
Movie.bz, and Vidoe.bz are parked at Sedo. I thought Sedo verified they were your's first, before you could list them? If someone else owned (which they probably do, how could I list them then? I guess none of this matters, unless your name shows up on the whois.
I have a support ticket in to Moniker. As soon as I get an answer, I will let you know what gives.
Frank
What is strange is not all names show up with a blank whois. If you look the whois for blog.bz, or money.bz, it shows information in the whois, but for others it is blank.
Another member here says he just renewed power.bz , but it has blank whois.
Well, like you say,we will see, hopefully soon.
lol, well, jokes apart, i also regsiter "register.bz" yesterday and have gotten the letter from moniker the domains are successfully placed in to my account, but most likely I think it was done due to registry error, if not, then something went wrong, possibly name could have been dropped, by the registery, or by the person who had held those names reserved may be.
Because All of a sudden, not all the names could have dropped all at once, if it was just an single name then it would make sense, but these all are premium names, so I assume, there could be two possiblities.
1. All these premium names could be owned by "one person" and forgot to renew!! and again were avaliable to reg and may be it takes registry while to upload their whois. data.
2. All the names may be were held back by registry, and were released by some error, or were thrown out to reg.
3. Registry Error.
So cross your fingers mates, most likely we will not get these names, and get our refunds, but hoping for the best and playing a lotto where you get refund for not winning, is always a worth taking a chance.
