AFTER CONSIDERING The .EU Registry has published that:
SOURCE OF ALL DATA: http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/pri/en/...en00400050.pdf indicates at Article 4 indicates: ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/cctld-discussion/30675-vote-eu-pre-registration-eu-sucker.html …only registrars accredited by the Registry shall be permitted to offer registration services. http://www.eurid.org indicates: PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THIS TIME IT IS [color=red]NOT POSSIBLE TO REGISTER OR PRE-REGISTER A .EU DOMAIN NAME WITH EURid AND THERE ARE NO ACCREDITED REGISTRARS FOR .EU. http://www.eurid.org/Information/timetable.html indicates this revised (current as of my post) timetable: June/July 2004: Accrediting .eu registrars We will begin to accredit registrars as soon as the Registrar Agreement is completed and translated into official EU languages. We will publish a list of accredited registrars on our web site to enable those wanting a .eu name to select a registrar in preparation for sunrise applications or to pre-register in preparation for general registration going live. During this time, we will make publicity to announce to rules and procedures to ensure that the EU Internet community is aware of dates and the necessary actions to obtain a .eu name. http://forum.icann.org/newtldevaluationprocess/ includes many stories of pre-registration heartaches, schemes, and losses. Do not hesitate to review one of the hundred million threads.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't know why anybody would pre que a name with any registrar when its made plain and clear that there are no accredited registrars for .eu Your not only a sucker but a total moron if after knowing that info, still participate in a pre que for .eu. Just my pointless thoughts |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Heheh, you guys are just worried you were beaten to the queue for registrars who could actually honor first-come-first-served on those who pre-regged with them on blind faith ![]() Personally, I think .eu will take at least 4 years from launch before it becomes a coverted address. Don't forget the power of .de and .co.uk. Meantime, .BIZ and .INFO will continue to climb up the credibiltiy index. I don't know about you guys, but I think I'll just make do with current namespace. I'd leave the .eu namespace for the dreamers. |
