No Posts In 60 Days

I just had to post after I saw this....if this gets removed then so be it...but come on...I mean for real?

A forum entitled BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT has 0 new posts in over 60 days? Should this not be one of the most important forums on the whole website?

Are we not focused on the development of our businesses, and Im sure more than few users could use some tips on business formations, planning, accounting, payroll, protecting intellectual assets, asset diversity, and so much more...so what do you say? I say we make this forum a little busier!

I've found that people like forums to leech ideas more than share ideas. When it comes to generic statements on trademarks, udrps, which theme to use etc people can post and not lose something.

As far as business development goes? I don't think the average person wants to give their secrets away too much.

Moreover, those that want to create a business? You'll find that their time is consumed by that business.. some people that posted frequently that have gone into the "other side" don't have time to come here. Time is money.

Parking / SEO Is of course the exception and everyone talks about that everywhere.

NP would need to grow up a LOT to have this section be used. Have you ever looked at Kickstarter.com? I love that site.. gives you ideas if nothing else

BielLLC, I am all with you on this one. It is so surprising to be on here almost each day and see no participation in these forums. Now that you have mentioned it I would love to post a few threads in here over the next couple of days and maybe get some movement and participation going.

I think a lot of people on here, especially new visitors are just looking for a quick buck. That's why I see the for sale threads and appraisals are the most frequent for new threads. It takes a lot more time and dedication to put together a 'business' from your domain hobby.

We should be sharing our ideas on here. Are we competing against each other? Success of this forum could bring in completely new visitors that would improve the traffic we would receive to other important threads like our domains and services for sale. It would also increase the likelihood of our links being clicked.

No harm trying if you really are looking for help, answers, interaction. You can't force it

I'll probably respond because I'm always looking to learn and share.

(You have to put up with the snark, too, though)

I've been following this area for a while. It's postings have largely started with people asking questions about non-domaining but web related business ideas or plans. It's probably just a case that they are finding better venues.

I have been interested in this topic as well, but you need to realize that most of the business topics relating to domain names are already covered under specific headings like Marketing, Monetization, Parking, Sales, etc.
