Hello all,
I know that MoneyBookers is starting to be preferred (amongst domainers) over PayPal (and with good reason - PayPal are absolutely awful).
However I've been checking around and, from what I can tell, there's absolutely zero protection for buyers when using MoneyBookers?
I mean, sellers have the whole "no chargeback" thing, but am I right in saying that buyers (if they don't receive goods) have little chance of getting their money back?
I understand MoneyBookers do an Escrow service, but that's not always practical to use.
these questions are hard to answer and speculate since i never been scammed before since I always use moneybookers to sell not to buy. the only way to know is if someone have been scammed before as a buyer on mb then buyer can try the customer service department and let's see if mb's claims on customer support is ok.
The only reason that MB is becoming more popular around domainers is that it doesn't actually have a "buyer protection" can also be referred as "scammer protection".
The whole point is that buyers can not reverse the payments after they received the domain/goods, that's why MB is good and that's why scammers will NEVER want to use MB.
So if you have someone saying that they will not use MB under any circumstances, watch out...

I've been using moneybookers for over a year now and find them just as good as the paypal or even better. It's just that MB is not that acceptable as PP but slowly coming around.

I like MB better than Paypal. The fees are much better. Here in the US, it only costs $2.84 to transfer to your bank account. Saves you a lot of money with larger sums compared to using Paypal.
Thanks for the further comments all Yep, MoneyBookers does seem better.
I was recently looking at buy something from someone (not domains, but still a virtual good) for $xxx, and whilst they would accept MoneyBookers, they wouldn't accept MoneyBookers Escrow... which put me off a bit (well, a lot).
Either way though, MoneyBookers does seem much better than PayPal The former actually has competent support staff, too!

Paypal, and I think Moneybookers are free to transfer to bank account, fee is for withdrawal to credit card...
It's 2 Euros in Paypal and 2,78$ in Moneybookers (for me at least)
