Is it really necessary to use paypal when buying domains?

Hi.

Is it really necessary to use paypal when buying domains? Isn't it much cheaper without paypal? Just wondering.

paypal is more secure. I would not give my credit card number to a company in the another side of the world!

i sell my domains via paypal, if the cost of domains less than $150-$200 doll. if price is higher, than that, escrow would be a safer way to go with. You see, Paypal is very risky way for domain sales for seller. There is always possibility, that buyer will demand chargeback via paypal, after he will get a domain. And because paypal does not protect seller for intangible items sales, you may end up loosing and domain and money, it is headache. But in another side, thats not happening everyday. So for cheap sales, paypal is ok, and faster way to sell domain. IMHO.
