Business Ideas?

Hello

Sorry If I sound like a moron but I need some ideas. I wanted to know what kind of website I could start that would bring in a couple hundred a month without any work? In the past I had a video website that would take Youtube videos, but I never got any money from adsense. Or if someone here with a website thats making like 400 a month could sell me a 50 percent stake that would be aweome.

Thanks

I honestly doubt anybody here would give you their idea or ideas to making money.
If you can't think of an idea then maybe you shouldn't be doing it? Sorry if I should cruel.

How much do you have to invest?

I can give mine It doesn't matters

Yes so back to the ideas stuff.

You want to create a website which will be profitable. I think any website can be profitable. It is not on the niche or the website itself. The problem is the owner. It depends on who owns it and how much time he is investing.

Lets say you have time and are willing to work hard.

1) Never think that putting youtube videos on your site is going to profit you. Ask yourself first why would people come to your site when they can go to youtube directly and watch those videos and chat along with 1000 of members over there.

Even if someone does comes to your site then he or she will see that watermark of youtube and from next time he or she will directly go to youtube rather then coming to your site to find some videos.

A website needs to have something that no one else has.

If you had a website which only had 5 vidoes but were unique and good ones then I think you might have got a chance for atleast a small userbase.

Spamming and spamming the internet is not going to earn the money. It is on the other hand creating more chaos and the CTR prices are decreasing. Thanks to smart pricing

Buying a 50% stake in a 400 USD per month earning site is going to be costly.

400 x 36 months revenue [If the website owner is really pressed up against the wall, which I doubt as he is already having 1 website that earns 400 USD per month. So logically he will be having some other ideas too which will be generating 50 - 60 per month. His grand total could be 1K to 2K per month. So I don't think he will be willing to sell the 50% stake.]

But lets assume he can be lured by offering some amount. So I have kept 3 years revenue instead of 2 years.

400 x 36 = 14,400 USD.

14,400 / 2 = 50% = 7200.

You will have to pay 7200 to buy a 50% stake in a website earning 400 USD per month. Out of which you will get 200 USD every month as profit

Now the easiest and the simplest one is.

Ask yourself what you know. What you are good at. Don't go into niches that has high payouts because one sale of 100 looks great in starting. But in real thousand sales of a dollar or two are better

Also don't take this too far. If you go for billions of pennies then the management of the stuff and issues arising like servers and scalability will create problems.

Start a site with something unique on it. If possible then unique content. [Text content] which is relevant to the subject on which the website is based.

Just keep it simple and to the point. Days will come when you can add a functionality of two in future.

Forget about monetization.

Focus on building a great website that is just going to help, provide information or resources to the people who are visiting it.

Select good keywords and to the point keywords. Don't run after every keyword. Believe in yourself and it will work.

When you see the traffic graph rising. Then its time to think of better monetization ways.

I think when you have this stuff cleared you will yourself know the best answers on how to monetize it. But if you want the answers in advance then I can suggest use adsense, afiliates, direct sponsors and all.

If your website is going to sell products or services then there is another long long explanation waiting

exactly. if you're building a business in something you know nothing about or don't have any passion for then it's doomed to failure.

Problem is sometimes you can have all the passion in the world for your chosen subject. The internet is tough out there and it takes money to make money at times. Sad but true. -__-
