| LLC Help Please
I am in the process of starting a web company, that would allow paintballers to list their gear for sale on a website, similar to ebay.
Do you think it is a smart idea to get an LLC.
Do you know where to get an LLC, and how much one would cost?
I do have a relative (Yet distant) who is a lawyer, but he does family court and personal injury, and I am not sure if he could do an LLC?
Any help on the issue is very greatly appreciated.

| Talk to SCORE (assuming you're from the US here) - they'll give you the best advice on getting things setup in the proper way and you can actually hold a private discussion with someone who knows what they are talking about.
As for the basic answers. LLCs are formed through your state or another state (some people choose other states because of tax breaks and incentives). Most states should have online processes, but there may be exceptions to that. In the case of where I live, in SC, it was either $110 or $125 if memory serves me properly. http://www.score.org/ | |
