I need a couple of helpful NamePros members that are interested in this type of music to give me some ideas and suggests on what would make a HipHop forum really unique and cool compaired to the others. I'm going to have a custom skin and using IPB. Some of the most popular forums are All Hip Hop and Hip Hop Game. All feedback and help would be appreciated. I will be looking for a couple of moderators and loyal members when I first open up so if you love this type of music hit my up with a PM and we can talk.

Seems like an old thread, but I'll give advice if you're still watching this post.
It seems like (without logging in) that you're online users are posted at the top of the site. I would highly recommend against that. take a look at NamePros and see how everything is set up. You don't have to do it exactly like that, ebcause your primary audience is different, but I am thinking a stylish dark style will work for a hip hop site.
Also, borrow some ideas for the big shots. I listen to a little hip hop/rap (sorry, I am not exactly sure about a clear cut difference), but I've heard about differenet magazines like the Source and I am sure that magazines like that have websites. Don't copy but take some ideas and integrate them into your site.
