since paypal does charge backs months after payment, how does one set its paypal account to NOT accept cc payments? or at least not accept cc if there is a bank account or money available in payers account.
I think I wrote to paypal once and they said it can be setup somewhere, but now I can't find the mail nor where to set this in their interface.
You have to just add a note on your website that you do not accept cc payments through PayPal. Then if someone still sends one, you will always get a prompt asking you whether or not you want to upgrade your account to accept. You would simply say no, and they would get an email telling them that their transaction didn't go through.
I'd recommend just paying the fees and accepting cc though. It's much easier for you and far less hassle.

their seller protection is a joke. It doesnt apply to companies outside US, and it doesnt apply to intangible goods. I dont see why anyone should take paypal money, other than the fact that they were first of their kind and have a good marketshare.
If you set up a personal Paypal account all incoming payments must be made from either a bank account or positive Paypal balance. Personal accounts have a $500 per month receiving limit.
I think that it gona be 100% better if you sing up for 2checkout.com
2CO it' more like a one way payment procesor, not like paypal that it's mult-ways payment procesor.
We already take other payment processors. What I'm saying is paypal is no good. Amounts of around $200 dissapear almost regularly and when you ask them if they could send you more information about the case, they tell you, for each incident, you must file a report at the local police office, then make them call an international answering machine, and they will get back to them (with their usual long delay). And they will not respond to anyone else than police offices. What kind of crap is that?
