Me and a few friends are thinking about starting a new upload type site. There certainly has been an increase in upload type of sites, a few examples are below:

What we want to offer is below, please note various figures may be changed at any time as this is still in the thinking mode
1) Free upload service for public internet users
Free Upload sites are the easiest way to store data online and share with friends and family. It is a faster alternative to email and has many advantages.
2) Our Service
File types:
zip,rar,all video file types, txt, etc
File Size Limit:
50mb
When will file delete?
When it has no downloads for 25 days
Hot link files?
Like rapidshare.de it will be impossible to hot link our files due to the url redirecting you to the main site in which you can then get the download link. This is good as there will be an increase in advertisment revenue.
4) User restrictions
Once user goes to download the link there will be a counter for xx seconds, this gives the user time to see advertisements and also helps reduce server load.
User can download only 2 files per hour - this helps reduce bandwith and server load
User can only download 1 file at a time - again reducing server load.
50mb File size limit, no exe, php etc allowed.
No illegal or © material allowed.
3) Premium Member Service ($xx monthly)
There will be a section for pay members who receive various benifits and less restrictions.
There will be 3 types of paid membership.
Downloader Membership
a) Download as many files at a time
b) Download without no waiting timer
c) Support for download accelerators
d) Faster Download Speed/Priority
Uploader Membership
a) 100mb file size upload limit (not 50)
b) Advanced statistics (number of downloads, IP's who downloaded the file, times etc)
c) File kept on server for unlimited time - even if inactive
Super Membership
a) Has both above downloader and uploader benifits all in one.

We would like some investers (sleeping partners) who would be willing to invest some cash into this project. All revenue will be by various advertisements etc. This is a fairly big and powerful project and will need many servers (though only 1 or 2 when we open).
We have been looking around at various servers, a decent one will cost us between $300-400 a month and ofcourse we will need more than one.
An example: You invest $100 a month, we will give you $1xx back or some how work out a % profit.
