I have been looking recently to start an online ecommerce store, and have looked around for some drop shippers, but have yet to find anything that looks legit. In the developed sites for sale forum, I see that many people have drop shipping connections, but often want hundreds of dollars just for the source. My question is how do you find a reliable drop shipper, and where? Also, if anyone has any links to drop shippers, or connections they would be able to give up, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I can help you with shipping stuff, however I do not see the point.
Maybe you mean a wholesale supplier? Don't buy these, 99% of them are scams. Don't buy cheap stuff like $50 iPods especially if seller only accepts Western Union or such.
No, Albert I think you missed my point. I was indeed talking about what you call a wholesale supplier. I realize their are many scams, yet at the same time I know many people have solid connections with them. Anyone else?
If you were to tell me what kind of goods you were looking to sell maybee i could give you a small list of suppliers.
I used to do a little dropshipping in the uk (mostly power tools and hand tools)But i came accross a few decent dropshippers in the us,never used them but they seem legit.
Pm if you wish and i'll see if i still have a list somewhere.
I was/am a member of about 50 websites that claimed to be dropshippers directories and most were overpriced wholesalers.
Thanks.

alot of retailers jumped on the dropshipping rush, most sites that claim wholesale dropshipping are way overpriced and are not wholesellers but just retailers trying to get more sales. Fact is its very hard to sell products that you can dropship because the margins are very small and the competition with other dropshippers of the same products is pretty high. Find a niche product and find a good wholeseller that will dropship so you don't have competition.
My dad has gotten onto a very nice niche on eBay, but it's extremely hard to find what he needs wholesale, although once he finds a good deal it's usually 200-400 units for a good price, and the profit is great. I sell Livestrong wristbands, but I don't consider it a very unique niche since many others sell them, too, and a good price (like 50 cents per band) are for quantities over 1000, which'll take a dam long time to sell for a decent profit.
