![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Newbie to CJ / Affiliates Seeks Assistance Ok, bear with me, I'm new at this particular aspect of internet marketing. I have 50 Halloween sites that are all ranking and have PR; I've had them a little over a year. They're based around a Google CSE and have AdSense, but I thought I'd try some affiliate for costumes or other Halloween themed stuff. So I've been looking around, and I found an affiliate program I like in CJ. But they didn't have any 728x90 banners, which is really what I wanted. So I wrote the vendor, and asked them if they had any plans to put some 728x90's up before Halloween. She wrote back that they were going to eventually, but since I was already getting traffic, here's four banners - and she attached four very nice 728x90 ad gifs for me. I think they'll work very well. However, since she sent them to me outside the CJ system, how the heck do I use them? I can't get CJ generated code for them. Is she clueless, or am I (or maybe both of us)?

But then there is the matter of the destination url. Did she send the image and nothing else?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yep. That's why I'm confused and disoriented. I went and looked at the code for their CJ banners, and it's all different with different domain names even, so I'm completely at sea. I sent her an email asking what I'm sposed to do with these banners (they're really nice scary ones!) but haven't gotten an answer back yet. If she'd just add them to their CJ rotation, that would solve all problems, but what she told me was that CJ actually limits the number of banners they're allowed to list at any given time. Which seems odd to me, because I've seen some vendors with pages and pages of them, and my vendor only has 67. But like I said, this is all like a foreign language to me.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | On CJ, find a banner that goes to the landing page you want. Put the path to your new image in the "image url" field (be sure to update the link code) - I *think* that would work but test it ... * update* Just tested it myself - works like a charm, just be sure to set the correct width and height properties on the image and you're good to go! Or, copy the html and substitute the URL to the image she gave you for the image in the code.
