I have a domain related to work at home/ earn money online. It receives over 1000 visitors a day but I am tired of the $0.2-0.3 that it is currently earning.
Which is the best affiliate program in this category?
To be honest let me tell you what I find interesting in 'Work from Home' sites and what I don't like.
1) I like a professionally designed site. If the site is badly designed, I won't even worry about reading anything. Now, I am not talking flash design or anything heavy. Just clean and nice design, html preferred.
2) If the overall look of the site pleases me on first look, I will start to read the content of the site. The minute they try to hard-sell me... meaning there is an enormous ad on the page and flashy exclamation marks etc...then I leave the site quietly.
3) Alright...so there is no ad, and no bad sales pitches thrown at me... I will tentatively continue to read the content. I will be looking at "what's in it for me" point and hope that you can answer a few questions. Obviously I am there for a reason... to make money. So how can you help me the user. (gain trust with the user first)
4) Alright...I am getting excited now. So far what I have read is interesting.... but now, what has other people like me done and did they get anywhere? The question looms in my mind and I see a few testimonials. They seem passable since it text testimonials, but to be honest... I prefer video.
5) Alright maybe this site can help me make money... will have to think about it.
6) Oh...what's this.... a free gift??!!!! (create a beautiful, informative product for the user.... no obligation, some good tips and in exchange for their email and name they can read this pdf right away.)
7)"Seems fair," I think and sign up, entering my details and name. After all I want to know more before making a decision.
8) I eagerly go to my mail inbox and open the mail to get my free ebook packed with information. I happen to glance back at the website to see if there is anything else that I should know. Nope... just a call to action.
9) I start to read the pdf, and within the first few pages I am blown away with this potential program. The author went out of his way to make it seem its more personal then just a sales pitch and I have found golden nuggets hidden in the content. I digest it silently.
10) oh, after 15 minutes of reading (content should never span more than 10 pages), I get to the point where it directs me back to the website's call for action.
11) Nice! A money back guarantee for 30 days. Try it and if I do not like it I can keep everything and get my money back. "Sweet!"
12) Oh...the sign up page is so easy and nice...invites me to complete the action.
13) But wait! There are more hidden surprises in store for me... exclusively if I become a member.
14) Alright! Signed up and is now happily going through the program and my bonusses.

See yr signature, I think you are doing your "affiliate job" with domain, web hosting or something like that. Now everyone dont like to see your affiliate link, and EPC, CPM is not a best way to earn. There are many of affiliate center for you, join one and you will have more choices and more chances. (Chikita, CJ, ShareASale...)
