I have some domains parked on Sedo which get a lot of views but hardly any clicks. I am thinking of setting up redirects to certain affiliate links - e.g. to eBay, Amazon etc. Does anybody else do this and is it actually allowed?

Would be grateful for any advice or experiences.

You can set your domains to redirect to anywhere you want, i have a few domains directed to various affiliate sites, as far as i know its allowed unless otherwise stated in the terms of service of who ever your reidrecting to such as ebay.com .. shouldnt be a problem thoe..

But you will have to remove the domains from sedo's parking.

Wont be a problem but you should check with your affiliate. The only problem I would worry about is search engine penaltys. Redirecting and cloaking can get your domain banned from certain engines. If your domain is not spidered or you do not care, then this issue wont be a problem for you.

i redirect most of my domains to affiliate programs. Search engines bans domains only sites that are created with an intention to defeat the ranking algorithm, Like cloaking. But i have not experienced any penality for redirecting to affiliate sites.

Click throughs are rare nowadays and you get click throughs for gambling and adult sites mostly. Redirecting to an affiliate program is cool and at sometimes guarantees a return.

you shouldn't have a problem if it's a legit affiliate.

Most Aff's Programs Make you load an image (scripted or other) within Link / Call - Make sure you load it before redirect or you may not get credit !
