Important! Read it First : Opening thread or Posting in existing Threads.

Useless bumps. Like "Thank you", "Order Recieved", "I am working on it", "Thanks a lot for your order" etc are considered as bumps. If you want to communicate with the buyer after he purchases your services then use PM to let him know that you are thankful and working on it.

PM Sent and/or short spammy posts are not permitted and will be deleted.

Thanks.

Hy.

I want to post a new thread but I have 2 question.

1) I want to launch different discount offers on the thread, not bumping, new offer with discount price, it is ok?
2) I have this service runing on another forum, can I use a link to that forum so anyone can see it and have a review of my service, I also provide free review on this thread.

Thank you

Hy.

Me again....
I have one more question.. Once I start the thread and post it, can I come back and edit the thread. I ask this in the idea that I want to add new packages on the initial thread.

Thank you

Hi

i'm not really understanding this contradiction of cutting "post count" when it's also used as a means of illustrating member activity of Namepros, vs. reducing the posting count that members can achieve by eliminating their ability to reply to wanted ads or sales threads...which in turn adds to the forums' overall "posting volume". or per the rule change will "reduce" the posting volume.

if there was a rationale posted previously, direct me please

Thanks

It is being misused by some people to shoot their thread right at the top of the particular forum by bumping it.

There is already a rule of 24 hours bump.

Once a thread is dead [Which means there is no reply needed etc.]

They keep on bumping it.

It applies to market place sections only.

It is not just a rule made by myself. It has been discussed over with Member services representative and others.

Thanks.

i truly understand "misuse and abuse" of priviledges

however, if this was still open for discussion, then maybe it would have been better to disable threads from going to the top when someone replies....like what webhostingtalk dot com does.

post count can still go up, but marketplace threads don't

This makes far too much sense. In a marketplace I fail to see how posting a thank you counts as a bump. My definition of bump is when you make an effort to get your thread raised without adding anything new.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=732943

Part of an evaluation of sellers is response times. If all responses are kept via PM then part of the information of a transaction is lost imho.

To me, responding to buyer is not a bump.

What appears to be allowed is constant price reductions which to me ARE bumps. If you have a price you have a price - stick with it. There's nothing worse than

1% discount....
5% discount....
LAST CHANCE 7% discount
LAST REALLY LAST 10%...
NO REALLLY I CAN'T GO ANY LOWER... 15% off....

Ok Buy one at 15% off.. and get another at 30% off.

You're killing me... 40% off.

etc etc etc.

But saying "Thankyou for your order, I responded via e-mail - as you can see I'm on top of things and a great seller." is a bump and not allowed.

Strange rules in the New NP landscape. Seems lots of changes being made.... I don't understand most of them.

I approve of the new infraction red card shown on a post now though - that matches one of my suggestions from a year ago when I kept getting infractions..lol

I think I have answered all the questions that you people have.

I am just following the things that are told to me.

I don't have any personal issues at all. But when things are being misused and there are complaints only then this kind of steps are being taken.

Thanks.

One assumes that feedback gets sent back with you though to the core NP Team when you have whatever meeting of the minds.

I have no issues either but it would be nice to know that you actually do something with feedback even if then RJ / Eric or whoever chooses to ignore it.

If you don't then there's really no point in ever posting issues or concerns outside of the thread that is supposedly monitored for that.

Can we limit bumps? What's the freakin point of some of these threads that have a bump a day (within the rules) for over a month or more?

I'm tired of seeing HubbleTelescope.co.uk...
